I saw pictures in newspapers that there has been heavy rainfall in Mumbai! How lucky! We are suffering from extreme temperatures still and the monsoon seems to be so far still. Coming to today’s product, my last moisturizer from Etude is Sun Prise Natural Corrector SPF 42.  Since I have an oily-combination skin, higher sun blocks make my face instantly greasy. My skin feels like suffocating with oil film and I have to wash my face. I realize the fact that extreme weather calls for SPF 60 but as we read in Jomol’s post of celebrity beauty secrets, even SPF 30 will work for face. So content with the revelation, I instantly pulled this out from my stash for regular use. Let’s see how it works on my skin.

My Take on Etude House Sun Prise Natural Corrector SPF 42:

Etude House Sun Prise Super Aqua Moisturiser SPF 45 has a very girly packaging. The off-white plastic, squeezable tube has a pink cap.  The moisturizer has a nozzle dispensing appropriate amount of product. It is very lightweight and travel-friendly packaging. The white sun block has a thick consistency but texture feels like a mousse. It feels really lightweight on skin when applied. The subtle fragrance is pleasant too. The sun block absorbs quickly on skin, blending like butter and leaves no whitish cast on skin/face. It contains SPF 42, but still it is so lightweight on my face and oil free. It gives no greasy feeling, no stickiness and also controls oil on my face.

My face stays matte for five hours when I am indoors and t-zone is shine free for more than three hours. These statistics can vary from person to person, depending on the weather, humidity and skin type. The oil-controlling tendency of course decreases if I experience sun exposure for longer hours, but still, the results are impressive.  It hasn’t broken me out the entire season I have used.  It provides ample moisturization to skin without going overboard in summers. I think this is a perfect moisturiser/sun block for dry to combination skin for summers. In winters, this will suit oily and combination skin types because dry skin will need heavy moisturization in harsh weather.  The overall effect of the product gives me a fresh face and protects me from UV sun rays, along with moisturizing my skin. With the quality of fast absorption and non-greasy feel, I am completely in love with the Etude House Sun Prise Super Aqua Moisturiser SPF 45 and really happy I discovered this gem.
