Etude House is known for their innovative products with cute packaging. Today, I am reviewing an Etude house tint my brow gel in the shade “Gray Brown.” This product has been in rage on Instagram & YouTube. I feel eyebrows really frame your face, but I personally find filling my brows everyday a tedious task, so when I saw this product, I was very excited. So, let’s see how this product fared for me.

Product Description:

How To Use:
1. After trimming the eyebrows without applying skincare product or makeup, apply a liberal amount according to the desired shape of the eyebrow.
(Apply a liberal amount to remove the pack easily.)
2. Dry for at least 2 hours. For stronger coloration, apply before going to bed at night and remove the next morning.
3. After drying completely, remove slowly starting from the tail of the eyebrow.
(Do not remove the pack forcibly since it may pull out the eyebrow.)
4. Do not use a cleansing product (product with detergency) or apply force on the eyebrow area within 24 hours of using the product.
My Experience with Etude House Tint My Brows Gel:
The Etude house tint my brow gel comes in a glossy brown cardboard box with instructions and ingredient list. The instructions are written in Korean except for the product name. The tube is a standard plastic cylindrical tube. The tube shows the colour of the tint inside. The applicator is a nail polish brush type applicator. The applicator allows me to fill in my brows easily. However, I do feel if the applicator had a sharper tip, I could have filled my brows more precisely.
The Etude house tint my brow comes in three shades – Brown, Gray Brown and Light Brown. I was thinking of purchasing the brown shade, but I felt the tint might be too strong and my brows would look unnatural and that’s why I settled for the “Gray Brown” shade. As the name suggests, this is an ashy brown shade. The shade actually looks really natural on me and I personally feel it looks good on me. I am so impressed with this product that I am going to get a backup of this shade and would also like to try the brown shade.
The tint has a gel-like texture. The gel texture allows the tint to adhere to the brow hair.
First of all, I had my eyebrows done in the shape that I want. Before applying the tint, I I cleansed my face and patted it dry. Then I applied the tint on my eyebrow in small strokes in the direction of my eyebrow hair. I applied a second thick layer of the tint all over my brow. To get a natural look, I didn’t fill the tint on the tail of my eyebrow. The instruction says that we need to keep the brow tint for at least two hours, I kept it for 4 hours. The tint gel had hardened within the first two hours. I started peeling the gel from the tail of my brow i.e. in the direction of my eyebrow hair. The tint didn’t peel off smoothly. I had to slowly scrape off the tint. You are not supposed to wash your eyebrows with a soap for at least 24 hours.
The pigmentation of the brow tint is great. I feel it’s better to leave the tint overnight to get good pigmentation. The result is a natural tint that makes my brows look natural without looking fake or unreal. The only problem is that the tint starts to fade away in a light brown shade. So the next time, I think I will try the “Brown” shade rather than the “Gray Brown.”
The product claims to last for a week. On me, it lasted for five days, which is pretty good. It looked really good for 2 to 3 days but started fading on the 4th day. So all in all, the product lives up to its claim and I am very impressed with it.
