My Experience with Eucerin Even Brighter Day Cream:
The packaging is very typical. It comes in a tub and a screw top lid. There is no issue in opening and closing the lid. It’s very secure. The tub is made of plastic and not glass making it light weight.
The consistency of the product is creamy and smooth. It spreads easily over the skin. The skin does feel greasy or oil after using, unlike the night cream. So, its moisturizing enough for the colder winter months. But, it’s definitely not for summer months. It will be too oily for warmer months, especially if you have oily or normal skin. I wish they had 2 variants in the day cream. One for the dry skin and one for normal to oily skin.
I also have sensitive skin and it does not cause any kind of breakout on my face. I use a dime size for my entire face and neck before applying my makeup to start the day. The fragrance is kind of floral, along with some chemical smell. It’s not a strong smell and it fades away within minutes of using. So, the smell is not much of a bother to me. The product claims to reduce the effects of hyper pigmentation. I have pigmentation on my cheeks and chin, caused due to acne. The scars from acne is such a pain and hate them. That is one of the main reasons for me to pick this item. My scars range from light brown to dark brown color.
The ingredients list is something which looks promising. The product contains B-Resorcinol which decreases melanin production and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, and Glycyrrhetinic acid to repair sun-induced skin damage. I have been using this product for a week now and have seen slight changes. I would not jump in to conclusions. I guess it takes more time to work. The acne scars have slightly reduced. I do not think it made my skin brighter or fairer. Now that, it is autumn and hardly any sun, my skin tends to get paler. So, even I my skin gets lighter, it’s because of the weather and not the cream. I hope the acne scars get even lighter and finally disappear. That is the hope I have and will continue using it.
The good part about the cream is, it has SPF30. So, the sun protection is already included. I need not have to use an extra sun protection. The cream does not leave a white cast.
