Eucerin Sun Fluid Mattifying SPF 30 Review

Product Description:
Eucerin Sun Fluid Mattifying SPF 30 is an advanced facial sunscreen designed specifically to protect against UV damage. For normal and combination skin. Water-resistant.

This innovative formulation provides comprehensive protection against sun-induced skin damage – in both the upper and lower layers of the skin:
• A highly effective, photostable, UVA/UVB filter system with Tinosorb S provides reliable protection. EU and Cosmetics Europe – The Personal Care Association (formerly called Colipa)-compliant.
• The cellular protection formula, with Licorice Extract and Glycyrrhetinic Acid, supports the skin’s own protection system and helps protect skin cells against sun-induced damage caused by free radicals.
• The ultra-light, non-greasy texture mattifies the skin and does not leave an oily shine. Works well in warm and humid climates.

My Experience with Eucerin Sun Fluid Mattifying SPF 30:

Eucerin Sun Fluid Mattifying SPF 30 Review1

Eucerin is a German brand and belongs to Beiersdorf AG which umbrellas brands like Nivea, Labello and Hansaplast. Eucerin is their high end personal care brand. As most of you are aware, sunscreen is an essential part of everyday routine. I use sunscreen religiously, no matter what the weather is. I use it 365 days of the year. The first thing I apply on my clean face in the morning while getting ready to step out of the house is a sunscreen. It is very important to be aware of the fact that sun causes maximum damage to the skin. The damage is intense and long lasting.

Facial sunscreens are available in different forms – creams, fluid, gels, oils. Many of us prefer not to use it especially on the face, due to the fact that it leaves a white cast. Here is one which doesn’t leave a white cast. Yay for that! The product I am reviewing is targeted for face and neck alone. The packaging is very basic. It comes in a small plastic bottle with a stopper on top. The stopper also has a hole through which the product flows. The product is very thin and flows down the stopper. I would have preferred a pump for controlled flow. The product needs to be shaken well before usage.

The texture is very thin and so it’s very easy to spread on the skin. It also gets very easily absorbed into the skin. The product doesn’t leave the skin oily or greasy. It actually leaves the skin with a matte effect. It didn’t cause any breakouts either. It can be used in hot and humid climates too. It doesn’t leave your skin sticky or oily. I have tested it myself. The good thing is that the product is perfume free.

I apply this even when I have a breakout and it doesn’t irritate the skin nor does harm to blemishes. I have sensitive skin and had no problems with it. It is recommended to use around a teaspoon full for face and neck. Even though the product is water resistant, it is recommended to be reapplied, especially after swimming, toweling and sweating to get maximum protection.

  1. Seems like a really good sunscreen, texture wise and how it does not leave a white cast. I also make sure I apply ample sunscreen before heading out. 🙂
