The chilly winters are here to stay for quite some time still and thus, I keep on trying out different lip balms. We really can’t have enough of them, right? I have so many of them now that one or two can be found in every corner of my home.
The one that I am going to review today is from Eva. What attracted me towards it was its purple color and the word “moisturizing”. Scroll down to know more Eva Fresh Lips Grape Moisturising Lip Balm.
Eva fresh lips moisturize nourishes and keeps your lips fresh, smooth and soft.
My experience with Eva Fresh Lips Grape Moisturising Lip Balm:
Packaging: The packaging of this product is enticing. It comes in a deep purple tube with white fonts on it. Actually, it is the cap which is of purple color while rest of the body is white. It is a perfect purple and thus, I didn’t need any reason for not buying it.
Shade: The lip balm actually is pure white. It doesn’t have any tint to it. I had anticipated that it would have a nice tint to it but, all my hopes came crashing. It does provide a little bit of shine to lips but that also subsides down in less than an hour or so.
Texture: The texture of the lip balm is bit hard but, it does give a moisturized feeling after swiping it for 3 to 4 times.
Smell: The worst thing about the lip balm for me would be the strong smell it has. I had thought that the smell would subside after application but, it stayed on for more time than the moisturized feeling of lip balm. The smell is so strong that it started inducing headache. Those with sensitive noses should definitely stay away from it. Some people might like its smell but, for me it is a complete let down.
Pros of Eva Fresh Lips Grape Moisturising Lip Balm:
• Pretty purple packaging.
• Provides a bit of shine to lips.
Cons of Eva Fresh Lips Grape Moisturising Lip Balm:
• Texture is hard.
• The lip balm is pure white. No pigmentation at all.
• Has a very strong headache inducing smell. Those would sensitive nose would definitely stay from it.
• Is of no use during winters.
• Doesn’t make lips soft and smooth even after continuous usage.
Would I Recommend Eva Fresh Lips Grape Moisturising Lip Balm?
No. I hate it for its smell. I am never ever going to use it again whereas, on the contrary, my little brother actually liked its smell. Those who do not have any issues with strong fragrances can give this a try. But, do not have any high hopes from this lip balm. It is best used beneath a lipstick that too by ladies with normal lips. If you have extremely dry lips then stay away from it.
Overall, this lip balm does nothing great for lips. It doesn’t make your lips soft and smooth even when used continuously. All it does is to provide a little bit of moisturization that too for a very short period of time. For sure, this is not a lip balm to be used in winters. People with dry lips should stay away from it even during summers.
