Everyday Wearable Glam Makeup Tutorial

Hello all you pretty people,

Today I’m going to be doing a quick and simple make-up tutorial. Since it’s my first tutorial I am going to play safe. This is like an everyday/wearable glam look. The look is suitable for all skin tones. The look is not too simple but not over the top either; that is what makes the look sophisticated. With a few simple steps you can achieve this to-go look like a pro.
So without further ado, I shall start…

1 – With a concealer brush or simply with your finger apply a base on your eyelids up to your brow-bone. You could use a primer or simply make your own like I did. Also, you could use paint pots as your base. To make your own primer just add 1/3 portion of any moisturizing cream of your choice and mix it with 2/3 portion of your favourite concealer. Ta da! Anyway once you’re done with that let it set for a minute.

1 - prime

2- Take a light golden colour (I used the light gold from ELF’s duo) with a small fluffy brush. Pat the excess and apply all over your eyelid. Also apply a bit on the inner corners to illuminate your eyes.

2. color 1Next, take a matte brown colour (I used Lancome’s ‘couture’ from their quad) with a crease brush and apply it on your crease. Using the back and forth motion fill in the colour. Fill only till the middle of the eyelid and not all the way till the inner corner. Make your outer V blend it smoothly. Also, use the same colour and apply a little on the outer corner of your lower lash-line.

Finally, take a whitish colour (I used the lightest shade from Lancome’s innocence couture quad) with a fluffy brush and apply it on your brow-bone gently blending it with the colours on the lid.

3 – With a brown pencil (I used Bonjour’s pencil in brown) shape your eyebrows. You want them to be slightly sharp, but not over the top.

4 – With a liquid liner apply a medium line on your upper lash-line and to add some drama, make a little wing.

6. liquid liner
5 – Take a kohl/ kajal (I used ELF’s eye brightening kohl pencil in black) and fill in your waterline and tight-line your eyes too. Also, you would want to connect the lower water-line kohl with the wing.

6 – With a pencil brush, take any black or dark gray eye-shadow, pat the excess off and set the kohl. Using the same brush you can smudge the kohl a little for a smoky effect.

8. set and smudge kohl
7 – With a silver pencil you can illuminate your inner corners more. Apply a bit and gently with your little finger blend it.

9. sparkle inner corner
8 – Take a mechanical eyelash curler and your favourite black mascara (I used Maybelline’s Colossal mascara) and create dramatic lashes.

10. mascara
9 – Take a peachy blush (I used Chambor’s ‘Fard Joues’ Duo) with a fat and fluffy blush brush and apply the blush on the apples of your cheeks. To do that, simply smile. Blend it smoothly.

11. blush
10 –Prep your lips with your favourite chap-stick (I used my lip-smacker in ‘Vanilla Bean’) before applying the lipstick unless you are using a cream finish lipstick. Apply a nice peachy (I used colorbar’s lipstick in ‘Natural’) or a light coral coloured lipstick that suits your skin tone and VIOLA!

  1. lovely look Margaret! You look gorgeous! I really like the Chambor blush duo you’ve used. Could you tell me how much it comes for?

        1. chambor has these blush duos as well as single blsushes of 6 gms each. chambor claims that the latter can be converted into a liquid or cream blsuh by mixing it with moisturiser or foundation but i have never used any of their blushes. have heard good things abt them though 🙂

          1. I’ve also heard about using it as a cream based product with moisturizer. Though I was told about it for creating more intense looks with the eyeshadows.
