FabIndia Aloe Vera Soothing Gel Review

FabIndia Aloe Vera Soothing Gel Review

Now, who doesn’t know about the benefits of aloe vera?? Raise your hands. See, no one. Since all of you know what an ah-mazing gift of nature this is, you would also know that having access to fresh aloe vera gel and scooping out the gel from the leaf is such a pain in the bum 😛 and my dear friends, neither do I have access nor the patience, so I rely on these ready-to-use gels for everyday use. If you haven’t yet inculcated aloe vera in your daily beauty regime, you better do it fast girl. Lots of goodness awaits you.

FabIndia Aloe Vera Soothing Gel Review

Being a combination skin, aloe vera is my best friend. It takes care of the occasional rashes and soothes and moisturizes my skin very well.  A quick tip – Spray rosewater on your face and just when it is drying up, apply aloe vera gel and lightly massage and let it dry. Do it three to four times a day, and you will have better looking skin by the evening. This is my to go thing when I have to go out after a long day of college.  When I spotted FabInida’s gel on an online shopping site, I knew I had to get it, and have been using it ever since.

Product Description:

Our pure aloe vera gel is a natural skin moisturizer with skin repair properties. Suitable for most skin types, it aids soothing minor burns and wounds.

Price:

Rs.175 for a 120 ml tube.

Ingredients:

Purified water, aloe vera powder.

Aloe Vera Gel 1

My Experience with FabIndia Aloe Vera Soothing Gel:

I was initially using the Patanjali gel, but it had some unidentifiable base which was bothering me, so when I spotted this on an online shopping site, I immediately switched to this and oh boy! I could immediately feel the difference. This is much better and worth every penny, especially when other brands offer aloe vera gels at a lesser price.

Aloe Vera Gel 2

I use it on the occasional pimple, as a night cream, to soothe post threading redness, or just slather on and wash off after 10-15 minutes.  It gives me a healthy glow and my skin behaves itself. I also see some improvement in my pores, but the effect is very temporary, not that I am complaining.

Aloe Vera Gel 3

Pros of FabIndia Aloe Vera Soothing Gel:

  • It soothes and moisturizes, and does them very well. An all-in-one product for me, it can easily be an oily/combination-skinned girl’s best friend. When used a face pack, it brightens up the face, although temporarily.
  • It smells of nothing, I have dug my nose into the tube (no, not really :P) and I smell nothing. A big yay for the sensitive noses.
  • It has all-natural ingredients. Just makes me feel really good and I think in the long run, it will help my skin.
  • The packaging is cute, and more importantly, it’s a tube! No finger dipping and no germs spreading. 😛

Cons of FabIndia Aloe Vera Soothing Gel:

  • None. Price maybe, if I really have to mention one, but it is so worth it. I rather not use any aloe vera gel than use a synthetic one. Moreover, I find the quantity pretty decent too.

Overall, it’s an amazing product. I really can’t imagine my daily regime without this and the FabIndia Rose Water.  I think it’s the best deal, because I really wouldn’t pay a bomb for something so basic like aloe vera gel, but then, I also need to know that it’s all pure and natural. This one fits the bill perfectly.

    1. Please do !! You would be able to tell the difference between the regular dabur one and the fabindia one, in the first spray itself, 🙂

      1. I agree.. I used to use dabur gulabari and I actually liked it. ALways carried a bottle with me. But then on Rati’s reco, I got FabIndia rose water and I cretainly find it better than dabur gulabari..

  1. Thanks for the review! Knowing the benefits of Aloe Vera, I had picked up the Patanjali one too. But it didn’t really suit my skin and I had a lot of breakouts. Also, I absolutely love FabIndia products. They’re the only ones that really suit my skin. So, I’m definitely picking up this one! Couldn’t agree more about the Rose Water too!

    1. Yeah! 🙂 This is way better than the Patanjali one, but please do a patch test before as I have rarely heard about aloevera gel breaking anyone out. Take care.

  2. it’s sooo good to see you reviews again naina. 🙂 i am so getting this. dint know they had aloe vera gel. I mean am not sure where i’d fit it in my skin care regime, i just want to have it. i mean the feel good factor of having aloe vera… 😐 okay. 😛

  3. Hey Naina.. really liked your review. I am aware of the awesome benefits of aloe vera and I use fresh, home made aloe vera gel 😀 but then I dont find it moisturizing enough while everyone says that aloe vera has natural moisturizing properties. So, dont know how a dry skin person should use aloe vera gel daily except in times of sun burn.

    1. Thanks Surabhi 🙂
I googled the use of aloevera for dry skinned girls, maybe you guys could use it after cleansing and before moisturising. Try it once !!

    1. Maybe, but this is the closest one can get to ‘natural’. Plus I think Fabinida as a brand would follow some standards atleast.

    1. I agree!! But this happens when dry skin people substitue aloevera gel for their daily moisturisers. It can be used along with that somewhere and then it improves the skin. My mom is super dry skinned and we can vouch for it ! 🙂

  4. I got one recently for my back acne. I used Patanjali one before this. Fabindia aloe gel smells yuck!! Only I know how bad it feels to put this stinky-fart gel on my body after bath…

anyone got a smelly aloe gel?

  5. hiiiii
thnx for the review….. i bought it and the fabindia rosewater after reading ur review and both are wonderful n natural products with no chemical. I was searching for a chemical free aloevera gel for so long…. thnx again… keep writing

  6. Dear Naina,
Your review presentation is very good. But i would like to point out one thing that no gel is 100% chemical free and being from pharma industry i can without a doubt say that the label is misleading. all the contents of the gel has not been declared. it may be a good gel but its definitely not natural and you will be shocked to know how less it costs to make excellent quality aloevera gel but companies rip us off.
