Fabindia Neem Tulsi Mud Pack Review

fabindia neem tulsi mud pack
The Fabindia mud pack in the neem tulsi range is meant to firm the pores and purify the skin. Neem and tulsi combination is ideal for purifying and cleansing the skin of impurities. Add fullerโ€™s earth to that and you have yourself a great pack! I have used this pack enough number of times to say that it does what it claims. What does it really claim?

โ€œNeem Tulsi mud pack firms up the skin by tightening the pores. The neem extractx help diminish marks and refine texture of the skin making it look radiant. Tulsi oil soothes the skin.โ€

The shelf life of this pack is two years. The ingredients are:

Purified Water, Multani mitti, Kaolin, Popain Powder, SLES, Cetostearyl, Alcohol, Isopropyl Palmitate, Glycerine, Calamine, neem Extract, Phenoxtethanol, Tulsi Oil, Imid Urea, Methyl Parabens, Propyl Parabens, Almond Oil, Neem Leaves

The pack has not really made any difference to my acne marks but has done everything else mentioned above. It smells very pleasant and has tiny bits of neem leaves in it. The best part is that it dries off very quickly and does not pull the skin in the process. After washing off, I did not feel excess drying but you do need a moisturizer afterwards as always. While the mud pack is drying, you will feel a tingling sensation on the skin which subsides within a minute or two.

The consistency of this pack is neither too runny nor too solid, it goes on very smooth just like a face cream and is easy to spread. You can either put a thin or a thick layer. The calamine in the pack soothes any irritation or acne and tulsi oil soothes the skin.

The packaging allows it to be travel friendly but due to its round jar shape, it takes up a lot of space. Also, the pack moves around inside the plastic jar so when you take the lid off, it can get messy. There is no spatula provided which means you have to dig in your fingers to take out the product.

This pack is ideal for those who have combination to oily, acne prone skin. People with dry skin will find this too drying. I like to scrub my skin before applying the pack. I then follow it with my tea tree toner and then a moisturizer. Although it does not mention how often it should be used, I use it about twice a week.

If I had to compare the Fabindia mud pack with Biotique, I would say I like Fabindia better. Simply because it dries faster, tightens the pores and makes the skin smooth! My skin is exposed to pollution for at least three hours everyday and this pack really helps to cleanse my skin of any impurities and restore the radiance in my skin.

Price: INR 200 for 100 ml

Good Points of Fabindia Neem Tulsi Mud Pack

Dries off within ten minutes.
Gives a smooth feel to the skin.
Dries up active acne to a certain extent. I did use this twice as a spot treatment on active acne on my face. After using it a couple of times that way, my acne did soothe down quite a bit.
Smells really nice like calamine lotion and neem oil.
Easy to apply and wash off. After washing off you will not get a slippery feeling as though the pack has not gotten washed properly.
Tightens the pores.

Bad Points of Fabindia Neem Tulsi Mud Pack

Has not yet worked its magic on my acne marks.
Size of the tub. It should have been in a tube form.
Has SLES and Parabens.

Will I repurchase it?

Yes and I do recommend it.
