Hi Everyone, 🙂
Today I am reviewing three body products for you all. They are very much part of my body care these days and working well for my dry skin, especially in this changing weather. I thought it’s time I’d review them for you all. 🙂

Fabindia Sweet Almond Hair and Body Oil (Price : Rs 550 for 200ml) :  As the weather changes I start using body oils. I have pretty dry skin and it feels stretchy, gets all nasty if I don’t moisturise regularly. Except Vaseline Cocoa Body Lotion, no other lotion works enough for my dry skin. But over the years I have noticed that oils work the best for me. I picked up this almond oil from FabIndia a few weeks back. The only ingredient is almond oil. And it’s both for hair and body. Almond oil has huge benefits for both skin and hair. It is actually quite nice. It’s not very thick so spreads on body easily. It gets absorbed quickly and leaves skin soft. I have used it for hair as well and it does not feel heavy or sticky. It nourishes the hair and leaves them soft. Also you don’t have to use a lot of shampoo to rinse it off. It pretty much does not have a fragrance..may be very milk almond(y) but nothing bothersome. Some oils really give me headaches. Never found that problem with this one. Since it is thin, you don’t have to use a lot of it in one go. It comes in this easy transparent plastic bottle. The only drawback I’d say is that I don’t find it moisturising enough. By evening, my skin starts feeling dry again, especially my legs. But honestly, it’s quite nice. There are no harmful chemicals in it. You can use it as a massage oil prior to shower or add a few drops of it in your bucket or even massage your tired feet in evening with this. I quite like it. I might mix it with some other oil or moisturiser as the days get colder. I really like that is not too heavy and you can use it any time of the day because it gets absorbed quickly and does not leave any oiliness behind. So you don’t have to worry about staining your clothes. Still give it a bit of time to get completely absorbed because after all it’s oil. I can happily always repurchase this. I somehow really got hooked to its fragrance. It’s more like a fragrance in itself and it is pretty strong to wake up up in the shower. 😛 It’s more like a scented vanilla but nothing honey-ish about it.The fragrance lingers for a while and fills the bathroom withs its aroma. This shower gel comes packed in the standard Forest essentials clear bottle with gold cap.. It’s nice, refreshing, lathers well and rinses off easily. What I like the most about Forest Essentials Shower gels is that they are quite mild and are not overly drying. I do feel the need for moisturiser after using this but I like the whole refreshing experience with this one. It has a lot of natural ingredients such as aloe vera, rice extract, neem ,glycerin… I love every bit of Forest Essential products. This one is no exception. I might try a new fragrance next time before coming back to it again Rating : 5/5forest-essentials-mashobra-honey-body-wash-review Ingredients : forest-essentials-mashobra-honey-body-wash-1 forest-essentials-mashobra-honey-body-wash L’occitane Amande Cleansing and Exfoliating Shower Scrub (Price :Rs 1,450 for 200ml) L’occitane is probably one of my favourite brands when it comes to body and hair care. I always keep repurchasing the products from them. I picked up this almond body scrub from their range a few months back. Since I have dry skin, I do feel the need to exfoliate quite a bit. Although I am not a huge body scrub user since I prefer to use bath gloves with shower gels. But this really caught my fancy since it includes almond oil and also flaked almond scrubs. It’s almost like a gel scrub. It’s not very coarse and the granules are not harsh on the skin. It also foams up a bit so you get a shower cum scrub all in one product. It exfoliates well and gets rid of dry flakes on the skin. It does not leave the skin dry. Infact it leaves the skin quite moisturised and hydrated. Also, the formula is such that it clings on to the skin so you can easily massage it around on your body and work it on the skin. Now that’s both good and bad. Good because some body scrubs just keep falling off when you apply them. That’s such a product wastage. The bad is that you have to make that extra effort to rinse it off completely from your body. Pretty much every other time I end up having a residue of it left behind and realise it when I am moisturising my body. That is the only reason I would not repurchase it because it really needs my full attention when it comes to rinsing it off. Otherwise it is such a fabulous product. It comes in the wide squeeze bottle with twist cap. So easy to use and store. Rating : 3.6/5loccitane-almond-body-scrub

  1. I also love sweet almond oil during winter and I can use it in every hair and skin DIY possible. Even a little before my foundation. 🙂

  2. Thanks Rati Mam,

Will definitely give try to the Fab India almond oil, after finishing the forest essentials almond oil. Since this one seems reasonably priced!
