The Face Shop BB Power Perfection Cushion Review

Korean cushion foundations are really wonderful! The cushion itself applies like a dream, and you have one for every concern, but one thing that Korean brands fail to upgrade is variation in colours/shades. They have at the maximum 3 colours, and even though they cater to the world market, they just were not getting the hint. Innisfree and The Face Shop have launched 5 different shades in their cushion range. Though we have all the shades in our country, we always are left with one or two shades darker or lighter to choose from. Here, I am going to review the Power Perfection Cushion by The Face Shop in the shade “v207.” Read on know how this cushion fared for me.

My Experience with The Face Shop BB Power Perfection Cushion:

The cushion comes in a classy, black and gold shiny case. The case is plastic, but it gives the feel of a metal. You have to push in the button to open the case. As soon as you open, you will find the mirror and the puff. The mirror is pretty decent, and since the air puff is in close proximity to the mirror, the dirtier your puff, the dirtier your mirror might get.

The bb cushion lies underneath in the case. There is a provision to remove the cushion alone. Once you finish up the entire product, and the cushion becomes dry, you can flip the cushion to the opposite side. Some product will be left behind there. Even if it gets over, you have to find a refill and replace it. You don’t have to buy the whole lot again.

The cushion actually appears darker than the actual colour it gives out. I picked the shade “v207,” which is the darkest shade available. The cushion is wet on appearance. I used the air puff to lightly press on the cushion. Even at the light press, it gave off a lot of product. So, one should be careful not to press too much, because most product will end up in the air puff.

The product matches my skin tone, which I was worried about before buying. I have warm skin tone, and it suits me well. This product spreads evenly, it does not cluster up. The coverage of the foundation was a good medium. It covered well my blemishes, and small spots, but large spots were still visible. If you want, you can add a little more to the area you want. It is buildable.

I used it alone for the first time. I did not use any powder after that, and it gave a dewy glow. The finish was soft. It did not rub off. If you like only matte foundations, you should stay away from this. This gives a satin like finish.

This has SPF 50+ PA+++, so you do not need a separate product. The sunscreen component of this product is titanium dioxide which is a physical sunscreen, and it leaves a very mild white cast over face, but after a while, my face got oily, and I had to wipe my face often. And after 3 hours, the coverage has gone down to less than half. So, the next time, I had powder over it. I used very little, and so the glow stayed. The product lasted better.

Overall, I liked this foundation for the airbrush finish it gives. It is not overly dewy. It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy, and it did not cause me any breakouts.
