The Face Shop Bio Cell Recovery Face Mask Review

Price:
300 INR for 25 mg.
Product Description:
This recovery mask features a naturally adhesive bio-cellulose sheet and a Madecassoside serum that effectively soothes irritated skin due to exposure to the elements. (Dermatologist tested/Formulated without added parabens).

Ingredients:
The Face Shop Bio Cell Recovery Face Mask ingredients

How To Use:
Cleanse and tone face. Remove mask from package and unfold. Peel off protective sheet on one side of mask. Place mask on face with the other protective sheet on the outside. Remove remaining protective sheet. Remove mask after 10 to 20 minutes and gently pat to promote absorption of remaining serum.

My Experience with The Face Shop Bio Cell Recovery Face Mask:

This sheet mask comes in a white pack with a scientific pattern in yellow. It somehow reminds me of Innisfree packaging on account of the science-centric design. The back of the pack has all the information such as ingredients, price and directions for usage. It also has illustrations to depict how the mask must be used.

The Face Shop Bio Cell Recovery Face Mask details at the back

The inside of the pack is lined with aluminium which ensures the preservation of the active ingredients soaked into the sheet mask. The actual mask is blue in colour and has three layers – two protective layers that must be removed. The mask is extremely thin, just like the Second Skin masks from Innisfree. It is drenched in serum. It fits the face well and adheres well as well. There is no chance of it slipping off, which is great for those who like to multitask while pampering their skin.

The Bio Cell Recovery sheet masks come in bigger packs than the Real Nature range, the latter being more affordable. I was looking for sheet masks whose effects were long lasting, and I came across this range. I have tried the “Brightening” variant, and so I got a couple more to see their effects. I picked up the “Recovery” mask as I had not been keeping well and had not taken care of my skin for a few days. Plus, the weather has been taking a toll on my skin as well. Madecassoside is an ingredient known to revitalise and rejuvenate the skin.

The Face Shop Bio Cell Recovery Face Mask in hand

I prefer to keep all my sheet masks in the fridge during summers for an added cooling effect. I used this mask at night. I applied the excess serum on my neck and arms. The mask had a very soothing effect on my skin. I left it on for a good 30 minutes, after which I applied nothing on my face. The serum felt nourishing and moisturizing enough to put anything else on top.

In the morning, my skin no longer looked tired and dehydrated. It had a plumping effect. It reduced my dark circles and energised my skin. This is also a good mask for the winter months, when the cold winds strip our skin of moisture. To sum up, I was very happy with this product.

Pros of The Face Shop Bio Cell Recovery Face Mask:

  • The mask comes in between two protective sheets.
  • This mask rejuvenates and revitalises skin.
  • Plumps and hydrates the skin.

Cons of The Face Shop Bio Cell Recovery Face Mask:

  • A bit expensive.
