The Face Shop Green Tea Water Intense Moisture Mist Review

One of the best products from Korean Skincare are face mists, especially the kind that can double up as face toner and makeup setting spray. I wear my makeup for long durations because of long working hours and prefer not to retouch my makeup. I am always looking out for products that can prolong the staying power of my makeup or give my face a fresh look and compact powders and face mists are the best means to do so. I have tried several facial mists, both drugstore and high end. Some have performed well while the others have failed to live up to my expectations, but I still try them on. This Face Shop Green Tea Water Intense Moisture Mist is a part of my Korean skin care haul.

My Experience with The Face Shop Green Tea Water Intense Moisture Mist:

The best part about this product is the mister – it is not the usual spray nozzle, rather it is an atomizer and dispenses product in the form of fine mist. I like the packaging of this product. I bought this product because the brand “The Face Shop” has amazing skin care products, and secondly, they are affordable, and thirdly and most importantly, they have short ingredient list and less chemicals as compared to other affordable face mists. The size of this product is just right. It can easily fit in our daily handbag for easy spritz on face for quick touch-ups or just to freshen up our face. My face does get a fatigued appearance after a long day and a mild spritz of this product makes my face appear livelier.

The product comes in a 80ml bottle with a spray mechanism to dispense product directly on to face or on a cotton pad. The packaging appears sturdy and looks like it will last till I run out of the product. Most Korean face mists can be applied before or after makeup and this one works well in both the categories. It also comes in an “aloe vera” variant.

I use all my face mists for the “7 skin method”, wherein I take a pump of product on my palm and dab it on to my face and I repeat this multiple times. This method is popular among Korean beauty enthusiasts since it helps the skin to absorb the toner better and add more moisture.

The Face Shop Green Tea Water Intense Moisture Mist

This tea water has a lovely and mild fragrance, but it does not smell like green tea. Nevertheless, it has a very natural fragrance and has a calming effect on my senses. The best feature of Korean face mists is that most affordable mists have a strong alcoholic smell which prevents me from reaching for them often, but this product has triumphed in that aspect. It has no artificial color, sits comfortably on face, adds moisture and hydration, and also adds a faint glow.

Pros of The Face Shop Green Tea Water Intense Moisture Mist:

  • It is an affordable face mist.
  • Comes in a good size bottle with an atomizer on top – perfect to carry in handbag for quick touch ups to fix makeup and add moisture.
  • Has a very mild fragrance, calming on the senses.
  • No artificial color.
  • Ingredient list is clearly disclosed.
  • It adds hydration and glow to skin.
  • It contains green tea extracts.

Cons of The Face Shop Green Tea Water Intense Moisture Mist:

  • Availability can be an issue for some, but some Korean websites do ship to India as well.
  • It does contain alcohol and other chemicals for the sake of preservation and other cosmetic purposes – I wish that was not the case, but unfortunately, we have to make our peace with that.
  • I wish the ingredients list had even fewer chemicals.

It is an affordable face mist which acts as a face toner and makeup setting spray. I invest in Korean makeup a lot and I am glad that most of them have not disappointed me.
