The Face Shop Single Blush Candy Violet Review

This article is a review on a blush from the brand “The Face Shop” and it’s a product that I bought on a whim and would have been surprised if it had worked for me. I do not hoard blushes and at any point, keep only one or perhaps at the most, two blushes that I use for my everyday makeup needs. I added this blush to my cart only because the shade fascinated me and since I know that I can only wear cool-toned blushes, I thought perhaps this shade might work for me.

My Experience with The Face Shop Single Blush Candy Violet:

The blush comes in a rectangular pan which is white in color and made of plastic. The lid is made of clear plastic that shows the shade inside. It’s not that well made and feels flimsy. The product comes in a decent-sized pan and will last a while, but I don’t see myself using it at all, so it might last forever.

The Face Shop Single Blush Candy Violet shade

“Candy Violet” is a pale violet-mauve shade, but when swatched, appears white with a tinge of violet to it. On my face, it just appears chalky and unearthly white. The violet in the shade might appear on very pale skin tone and add the desired hue on it, but that makes this shade for a very niche crowd and since most of us like rosey tinge rather than violet, I don’t see a lot of consumers reaching for this shade.

The Face Shop Single Blush Candy Violet packaging

The product appears a bit chalky, but it has a good texture. It feels like both a creamy and powdery product. It can be picked up easily with a fluffy blush brush, applied on the cheeks and blended into a seamless finish. Since the texture of the product impressed me so well, I do recommend it in other shades. I prefer wearing cool-toned blushes so as not to accentuate the blue, dark circles under the eye. I would not recommend a violet shade blush for that, but I do recommend a cool-toned pink and I think I will buy that shade in future.

This product is affordable and since it is by the brand The Face Shop I hope that it contains benign ingredients that are gentle on skin. This product comes in 8 different shades so there is at least one color for all of us. It does contain talc and people who are allergic to it should avoid it.

Cons of The Face Shop Single Blush Candy Violet:

  • The packaging is not that strong and appears that it will break down eventually.

Would I Recommend The Face Shop Single Blush Candy Violet?
