The Face Shop Watery Tint Rose Garden Review

I had reviewed a few shades from The Face Shop’s Watery Tint range earlier on IMBB – Orange Scene, Red Up and Pink Bella namely. Today, I am reviewing the shade “Rose Garden” from the same range. Read on for more details on this watery tint.

My Experience with The Face Shop Watery Tint Rose Garden:

Let’s begin with packaging of the product. This lip tint comes in a transparent cylindrical plastic tube. The transparent tube helps to spot the shade easily from my makeup stash. The tube closes with a white screw on type cap that fits tightly making the packaging travel friendly. There is a soft, oval-shaped pointed applicator attached with this cap. This range from The Face Shop has 6 gorgeous colors. The shade name is printed on the base of the tube and at its back as well. Overall, the packaging is cute and travel friendly.

“Rose Garden” is a rosy-red kind of a shade as the name indicates. The color is so vibrant, it instantly brightens up face. It suits my skin tone very well. The color is suitable for all Indian skin tones. Lip tints are basically expected to have lighter pigmentation, but this one is insanely pigmented. One swipe imparts intense coverage hence it works more like a lip color when you layer it on, but I prefer keeping it light and I love that sheer wash of color it gives to my lips. It hides my pigmented lips to some extent. There is no sheen or shimmer in “Rose Garden” and it almost settles down to a soft matte finish. It has a very faint fragrance, which is not even noticeable much, but it has sweet taste in it, which I personally dislike. All the lip tints from this brand have a sweet taste which is quite annoying, not to my liking at all.

The formula is actually very watery. It’s basically a tint in liquid form, so I need to be extra careful with application as it bleeds easily from the outer lip line. Even though it’s a lip tint, I tried it as a cheek color too. I applied it on my cheeks and was so amazed to see how beautiful and natural it looked on my skin.

It blended into the skin within seconds, imparting a gorgeous flush of color. Two little dots give a perfectly natural pink color to the cheeks. It dries up pretty quickly and it’s normal for tint to dry fast, so you better blend it quickly after application to avoid getting patchy finish. I totally love it as a lip tint and as a cheek tint as well. It feels really light on the lips but it has slight sticky feel whenever I purse my lips. Also, the formula is slightly moisturizing but my lips feel dry at the end of the day. It is transfer proof but not really waterproof.

The lasting power of this lip tint is somewhere around 3-4 hours on my lips with little snacking in between, which is great for a lip tint. It can be taken off easily using a regular makeup remover wipes. It gets removed easily and does not leave any stain behind.
