Here I am with a lipstick from “Too Faced” and this is my first metallic lipstick. I have been looking at the “metallic” trend for quite some time and I felt it was only for professional photographs or for ramp walks, definitely not for regular wear or for Indian weddings, not even for evening night outs. Still, I kept looking for a wearable shade in the whole metallic lipstick spectrum. I came across Too faced “Metallic Melted” collection and there were a lot of wearable options for regular people like us. The one I picked up is Too Faced Melted Metallic in Tu Tu. My Experience with Too Faced Melted Metal Liquified Metallic Lipstick Tu-Tu:
As we all know, Too Faced nails it when it comes to packaging – no one does it prettier and pink than them. The packaging of this product is similar to other liquid lipsticks from the “Melted” range (I have “Sell Out” from the regular melted lipstick range) – a rectangular cardboard box with lipstick coordinated shade.
The lipstick tube does not have a wand, instead it comes with an in-built brush to get an even application. It’s not a great option if you need to get those sharp lip edges. To achieve that, you will need your lip brush to do the trick, but when it comes to spreading the lipstick all over, this brush is a good option.
The lipstick has a fragrance which does not feel bothersome. It kind of feels heavy (but not too much) on lips. The shade “Tu Tu” is a very wearable color and you can wear it at any time of the day. The texture is smooth and creamy, just like all liquid lipsticks. It is not matte, so definitely transfers a lot. It is not quite pigmented though, but I feel that’s the case with just “Tu Tu” as I am sure darker colors will have more opacity. If you check out my lip swatch you can see how sheer the pigmentation is, I have applied a generous amount. It kept me thinking why am I not getting the color, is a metallic gloss?? I am not sure if it was intended to behave like this or it is actually a miss. So, if you are looking for a stark, highly pigmented color, this one is not for you.
I feel this shade will be suitable for all complexions. Since it isn’t matte, it makes lips appear fuller and plump, basically adds dimension and doesn’t look flat. If your lips have pigmentation, I would suggest prepping them up before application.
Pros of Too Faced Melted Metal Liquified Metallic Lipstick Tu-Tu:

- Suitable for all skin tones.
- Does not bleed.
- Brush applicator gives a smooth finish to the lips.
Cons of Too Faced Melted Metal Liquified Metallic Lipstick Tu-Tu:
- Expensive.
- Availability in India.
- Less pigmented shade, so a lot of product goes into getting the exact color.
- Transfers (well, it never claimed to be a non-transferrable matte.. so this can be ignored).
- Well, a lip brush is needed if you need sharp lip edges.

Would I Recommend Too Faced Melted Metal Liquified Metallic Lipstick Tu-Tu?
Looking for a semi-pigmented shade to wear for any time of the day with a tinge of metallic tone to it, then go for this. If you do not need any of the features mentioned above, then this isn’t for you. I would suggest you to check out other colors from this range.
