Faces As You Like It #06 Ultime Pro Velvet Matte Lipstick Review

Here is one more shade from the “Velvet Matte” range from Faces Cosmetics. It’s named “As you Like it.” Read on to know more about this shade.

My Experience with Faces As You Like It #06 Ultime Pro Velvet Matte Lipstick:

The lipstick comes in an outer paper carton with a color-coded sticker with name and number mentioned on it, as is #06 and As You Like It mentioned there. The ingredients and other details are also mentioned on the paper carton. The lipstick tube is matte black plastic with a color-coded sticker with shade name and number. Unlike the previous range, these ones come in a normal-sized lipstick packaging. The cap shuts with a click and hence is travel friendly.

The shade is a basic pink with bluish undertones. I felt this one is pretty close to the shade 05, so if you are buying on, you need not have the other. And if you ask me, I would suggest 05 over this because this one has a bit of neon feel to it, which doesn’t suit me. If you love funky neon shade, then go for this one.

Other than the color, the beautiful texture is one aspect that you would notice when you swipe the lipstick for the first time. There’s absolutely no shine, yet it feels creamy and smooth. Now that was something we all matte lovers look for, while choosing a matte color for comfortable wear all throughout the day.

The pigmentation is medium to buildable, but for this shade (and also shade 05), I felt the pigmentation is a bit poor and I have to swipe several times to bring out the real shade on the lips. Being a creamy matte textured lipstick, I could see the color settled on the fine lines, which is not a very pretty sight. All that I do is to use my pinky to smoothen out, post application and I am done.

This range has incredible staying power with minimal or no fading even after full meals, so if you hate touching up makeup every now and then, make sure you do not miss this range from Faces.

Not this shade, but this range, yes! If you want a basic matte pink with a pinch of neon, try this.
