Faces Canada Be Berry Lip Smoother Review

Today I’ll be reviewing a lip smoother from Faces that I bought to qualify for free shipping on an online website. As you guys know I like sweet scents, I ordered berry flavor out of the flavors available. So let’s get started with the details.

Price and quantity: INR 199 for 9 g

Shelf life: Around 18 months from manufacture date.

Ingredients:

Bees wax, Shea Butter, Tocopheral Acetate, Cocoa butter, Soyaben oil, Glyceryl Mono state, Glycerin, Sunflower oil, Almond oil, Color, Dewberry fragrance.

What the product claims:

Faces lip smoother will nourish your lips with moisture lock formula. It will provide a layer on the lips so as to seal moisture on your lips and protect from external exposure. Now leave behind dry, chapped or unhealthy lips to enjoy the season with healthy lips.

My take on Faces Canada Be Berry Lip Smoother :

This is my second pot lip product after TBS lip butters that I reviewed earlier. I’m not a fan of pot packaging although they look cute; obviously due to the hygiene factor. But since I wanted to qualify for free shipping, I went on and ordered this one.

The packaging is a mini plastic pot with a screw cap. Information is stuck around the sides and top, in a violet colored sticker; at the bottom of the packaging information like the ingredients, price, expiry date etc. are mentioned. The packaging is convenient for travelling. The tub packaging is any day unhygienic and therefore I use a spoon that my mother got for me from a local store, to pick up the required quantity.

Be Berry comes across to be a violet-colored lip balm, which turns out to be sheer on the lips. It doesn’t really give any hint of color making it perfect to wear under lipsticks. It smells of berries and the smell lingers around for some 10 minutes post-application. People who don’t like sweet scents should rather give this a miss as the scent is artificial and strong.

The texture is smooth and when applied instantly gives a soft feel to the lips. It glides easily with fingers and gives a sheer glossy look. Its formula is quite moisturizing for the lips and keeps them hydrated for long.

The staying power is something I need to complain about because it barely stays on for 2 hours and later starts to fade away. But the good thing is that the contents would be gone, but the soft feel on lips stays. Even if I apply this in the night before bed, I wake up with soft feeling lips. It also makes my lips look fuller. But since it is a sheer lip smoother, I avoid wearing it on bare lips due to my naturally pigmented lips. I prefer coating it with lipstick.

Overall, it’s a nice lip smoother for all seasons.

Will I repurchase Faces Canada Be Berry Lip Smoother ?

The quantity is way too much to last me for a few more months, therefore no, I wouldn’t repurchase it. But I definitely recommend it to everybody.
