Faces Canada Cocktail Peach Perfect Blush Review, FOTD

Hello girlies,

How is everyone doing? I missed all of you so much in the past few days while I was not active on IMBB. The reason was end of holidays in my school and a neverending series of work to be done there and at home. Well today, I decided to get rid of my laziness and present this cute blush from Faces Canada in the shade Cocktail Peach in front of you all. I bought this blush and several other beauty products in a small haul that I did online recently. Read on to know how this blush fared for me.

My experience with Faces Canada Cocktail Peach Perfect Blush:

These days my daughter is really in a blush phase and when she first saw my package after it got delivered, she snatched away this blush from me and kept it with her. From that day onwards this blush officially belonged to her and when I decided to review it, she got all dolled up and posed for a few pictures of her wearing it which you can see when you scroll down the review.

Packaging:
This sweetheart is housed in a regular round see-through blush pan. The packaging is compact, sturdy and break proof. The lid of the pan shuts tightly with a satisfying click and one can easily locate the shade that they are looking for in their vanity. Moreover, it has a sticker pasted on its backside which indicates the shade name, date of expiry and other random details. When I had purchased it initially, it had come in a black cardboard box which had a complete list of ingredients and expiry date. All in all at this price, packaging is a winner. It’s quite simple and sophisticated.

Shade:
Coming to the best part of this blush, I would describe the shade as somewhere between orange and peach (though it looks more orange in the swatches) with a hint of golden shimmer particles. The shimmer particles are not at all chunky but, I feel that they could’ve been much finely milled. However, the shimmer is easy to blend in and doesn’t look OTT at all. I can’t even explain how glad I am to have this baby in my vanity.

Since this blush officially belongs to my daughter it is mostly exploited by her and you can clearly see how well it complements her skin tone and looks like she is naturally blushing. In my opinion this shade will look good on fair-medium skin tones and darker skin tones will have to layer it up adequately for the true color to show up on their skin. All in all, it’s quite a decent blush for evenings and should be avoided for daytime wear (due to the shimmer content).

Texture and pigmentation:
The texture of this blush is quite silky, not at all chalky, it blends in effortlessly and it didn’t break me out 😀 what more can a girl really ask for? Also, this blush didn’t accentuate my large pores (thanks to my oily t-zone) or turned patchy after a few hours.

Also, it is not too powdery like some of the other powder blushes in the market. Pigmentation of this blush is quite average but, it’s not really a con for me as it helps me not to go overboard with it. Moreover the color can also be layered up gradually for a more intense look.

Staying power:
This pretty cute thing stayed on my combination skin (I have very dry cheeks and oily t-zone) for about 5 hours after which it started fading away gradually. I feel that the staying power will considerably reduce on oily skinned beauties.
So summing up the pros and cons,

Pros of Faces Canada Cocktail Peach Perfect Blush:

• Affordable
• Travel friendly
• Shade is great for fair skinned beauties and will look good on medium skin tones as well.
• Not chalky
• Blends in effortlessly
• Does not become patchy
• Complete list of ingredients and expire date is mentioned on the packaging.
• Pigmentation is average but the intensity is buildable.
• Staying power is quite decent.

Cons of Faces Canada Cocktail Peach Perfect Blush:

• Will washout darker skin tones.
• Not suitable for daytime wear.
• Where is that little scratchy brush that I don’t usually like but, still use for touch ups?

Other than these cons, it’s a great blush.

Will I repurchase/ do I recommend Faces Canada Cocktail Peach Perfect Blush?
No, I am sure that Faces (or any other brand) will come up with something better than this by the time I finish this off. Yes, I do recommend this blush to everyone out there who loves coral-peachy blushes and doesn’t mind the bit of shimmer.
