I have a bunch of white eye shadows; this post is about one of them.

My take on Faces Canada Mono Eyeshadow in FES00001:
People who rave about white eye shadows fail to mention that, it does not look so appealing on dusky or tan skin tones. It photographs well but in person it stands out way too much and looks a little odd. I personally use a gold or bronze shimmery eye shadow for this purpose but then again it’s a personal choice.
Packaging:
Sturdy black plastic case with see through cover. Product comes in a tin pan and is stuck to the case via a magnetic sheet which is a rarity in such packaging which is a plus point, since glue usually wears off with time and pan becomes tacky.
Texture:
It is a powder eye shadow set in cake form but has a considerable fall out hence one has to be careful while working with it.
Color: Brilliant white shade with shimmer particles.
Pigmentation: Just for highlighting purpose, a sweep is enough but for more dramatic effect multiple sweeps are required. A primer is required underneath or the shadow creases a lot or might disappear into oblivion.
Shimmer and shine:
Has mild shimmer which makes it appear silverish. If one is looking for matte white shadow then this not the one for them.
Wear time:
Entire day if used with a primer but I am yet to come across a white eye shadow that lasts long on its own.
Conclusion:
This shade is good but usually when one buys an eye shadow quad or trio or palette in warm tones, it usually contains a white eye shadow so this shade need not be bought separately.

• Bit expensive for a single shadow
• Poor stay power without primer
Would I repurchase Faces Canada Mono Eyeshadow in FES00001?
No, because a) I have a lot of white eye shadows b) I don’t use this shade that often. But all those who can put this shade to good use should consider buying it or a cheaper variant.
