Faces Go Chic Lip Gloss – Sheer Coral Review

Faces Go Chic Lip Gloss – Sheer Coral Review

I have many lipsticks from the Faces Go Chic range.  I hadn’t tried any of their lip glosses. I felt guilty and decided to try one.  This is the shade called “Sheer Coral.”

INR 199 for 7.5 ml.

Shelf Life:

3 years.

The packaging was quite different from the one I have seen in IMBB reviews. I guess they have changed the packaging lately.  I am glad they have changed their plastic white cap to black one. It is a transparent bottle with a black screw lid. It comes with a doe-foot applicator. I find the applicator quite small and it takes time for application. I personally hate dipping it again and again, but it is not a major con.

Coral Lip Gloss 1

Color: On seeing the pictures, you would have expected a bright coral shade. That was the first thing that came to my mind on seeing the gloss, but that’s not the case here. It is true to its name, a very sheer peachy coral color.

Texture: It is very lightly pigmented. It goes on very sheer on lip, but I like the formula. It is creamy and moisturizing. I find it a little sticky though. I believe the moisturizing property is because of it. It comes almost colorless with a mild peachy hint on my lips. It doesn’t cover my pigmentation at all. If you are looking for coverage, this one is not for you.

Fragrance: It has a fruity flavor. In addition, I also found a little soapy smell. This is my first lip gloss from this range. I am definitely getting another lip gloss from this range and let you know whether it feels the same. I didn’t find the fragrance bothersome.

Coral Lip Gloss 2

Staying power:  This gloss stayed pretty long for me. I guess that is because of the stickiness. It stayed for around 4 hours, 2 hours with full sheen after which it starts to fade. Still it is much higher than my average staying power.

Pros of Faces Go Chic Lip Gloss – Sheer Coral:

  • Hydrating.
  • Gives a mild sheen.
  • Creamy formula.
  • Good staying power.
  • Very light on lips.
  • No shimmers.
  • Can be used over many lip shades.
  • Great price.

Cons of Faces Go Chic Lip Gloss – Sheer Coral:

  • Very sheer coverage.
  • Applicator could have been better.
  • Fragrance not a major con (needs more testing from my side).
  • Tad bit sticky.

I like the formula and moisturizing nature of the lip gloss. I will be trying another variant and testing the fragrance for sure as I have not come across any other review with that concern. If you like almost colorless lip gloss, then give this a shot. If you want coverage and color, then skip this.

  1. OMG! Look at the color in the tube and the actual pigmentation! Such a huge difference!
Its name should have been Totally Sheer Coral! 🙂
