Faces Firetruck Ultra Moist Lipstick Review

After trying out so many matte from various brands I wanted to get a few moist lipsticks. So picked up 4 shades from the Ultra Moist range of Faces. Here is the review on the shade Firetruck. Read on to know how it fared for me.

My Experience with Faces Firetruck Ultra Moist Lipstick:

The lipstick comes in a shiny black case. The case is safely packed with a black color outer carton, you will find a color coded sticker with the shade name and number on the outer pack also, and I found the sticker really true to the lipstick color. The packaging looks good, but “Faces” really needs to bring a change to the monotonous packaging of its lipsticks.

The texture as the name suggests is moist and smooth. The lipstick glides on like dream without any tugging or pulling. Due to the moist texture of the lipstick, lip balm is not required. On the contrary, the lips stay hydrated even after the color fades/vanishes.

As expected, Firetruck is a variant of red. I would call this tomato red and it is definitely a brightening shade for the face. The shade would suit a lot of skin tones and can be paired with lot of different eye makeup looks, owing to the versatility of the shade. This is a bold vibrant shade which I tend to blot with a tissue to give a more subtle stained look to the lips.

The staying power varies from 4-5 hours depending on the food and water intake. Being creamy it tends to transfer a bit but nothing bothersome. It does not completely vanish from the lips so a touch up after 4-5 hours is okay for a creamy moist lipstick.

Overall it is a good pick for the red collectors but not a must have. If you are starting with makeup this can be added to the kit. Matte lipstick lovers can skip this as there are a lot of options of red available from various brands at different prices.
