This was an impulse buy, when I visited the store, but I do not regret it at all, because its such a pretty color. I have always been a fan of Faces cosmetics and accessories. I have never tried their eye shadows before, but recently I got two shades. Today, I am reviewing the pink one. Thanks to IMBB and the lovely tutorials, I have started experimenting with eye shadows a lot.
Advanced long-wear with powdery texture and crease-proof formula, is all what it takes to define Faces Glam on Mono Eye Shadow. Designed as a single cute pool of color, it is easy to apply and can easily blend along with other colors. Leaves you with those enchantingly dreamy eyes!
Rs. 249 for 2 gm.
It comes in a tiny black flip case, with a transparent lid, which makes it easy to locate. There is no mirror or applicator provided. It is sturdy and compact, but sometimes the case does not open easily.
My Experience with Faces Glam On Eyeshadow – Pink Sequin:
The color “Pink Sequin” is a beautiful light pink shade, almost like baby pink, with tiny gold shimmer. The shimmers are not large and chunky, and it is a warm-toned pink. It gives a good metallic finish, which instantly brightens up the lids.
This color is somewhat similar to the very famous MAC Expensive Pink. It is totally appropriate for work, and daily wear, and will look great on fair to medium skin tones. It might look slightly ashy on dark pigmented lids. Just a wash of this color and brown eyeliner will make you look glamorous without spending much time and effort.
The texture is smooth, but it is very powdery, there is a lot of fallout in the pan itself making it messy. It is not at all hard and chalky, but very smooth. Although during application, there is not much fallout and also a light wash of color on eyes looks great. Because of the smooth texture, it blends very easily, without much effort. The shade selection is not that great, they barely have 5-6 shades.
Pigmentation is good, it gives a good opaque finish covering all the pigmentation. I swiped it twice in the swatch on the left side with an eye shadow base, and on the right alone. Without a base underneath, it does not show up in its full intensity, so a good eye shadow base is essential. Also, it creases quite easily without a base on my oily lids, so I cannot skip the base. With base, it stays good for 5 hours after which it starts creasing, but if you have dry or normal eyelids, then it will stay longer. It does not accentuate lines on eyelids. If you shy away from pink eye shadows, then you should check this eye shadow, it is a very pretty wearable shade which will look great on Indian skin tones.
