Faces Glam On Lipstick Candy Pink Review

Heyloooo girls!

So I am kind of in a beast mood today. I have got so addicted to IMBB that I just can’t stop writing.

This review is about a lipstick from Faces Canada from the Glam on range in the shade Candy Pink.

So as we all know how much the fuchsia pink has been “in” this season. I was on the lookout for a fuchsia pink that would go with my medium/wheatish skin because obviously not every skin tone can carry the “Oh so hot”!! pink… 😉

Anyway, I walked in to this Faces store at a local mall and started trying out some lipsticks when the SA handed me over this lipstick called Candy pink.

So I tried it and as soon as I saw myself in the mirror I fell in love with it because it was “that very fuchsia shade” I was looking for and the next moment I was paying the bill

So it’s a great mauve kind of a shade but more on the red or maroonish side, if you understand what I am trying to say.The lipstick feels like heaven. It is so silky that I just can’t stop gliding it over my lips. The staying power is also cool. On a normal day when I jibber jabber as usual, it stays for about 3-4 hours on my lips without eating or drinking.

Now to tell you the main point. Once I reached home, I tried this on the next morning. My heart ached a bit because all of a sudden that fuchsia has started to show a bit red on my lips…I don’t know whether that’s because of my pigmented lips or because of my skin tone but it made me cry. 🙁 It looked like the perfect fuchsia for me in all those lighted-mirrors in the store and I don’t feel the name ‘Candy pink’ suits the shade at all. 🙁

Nonetheless, it’s not a bad shade at al. Looking at the positive side it proved to be the right “color” for my skin tone so I still love it and would recommend it to people who are just scared to experiment with deep or bold reds. 🙂

PROS:

•  Super soft and Silky on lips
•  Staying power of 3-4 hours
•  Does not dry out lips
•  Warm red for medium skin tones.

CONS:

•  Does not stand true to its name “Candy Pink”
