My Experience with Faces Go Chic Lip Gloss – Copper Bronze:

The packaging is very simple and sturdy; it comes in a transparent plastic tube with a black cap neatly packed in a box. Even at this price the packaging does not look or feel cheap at all. The cap has a short and slanted sponge tip applicator attached which applies the gloss precisely. The sponge tip applicator when compared to other lip glosses is very tiny and hence will work well with small lips, as some times the applicators are too long and big. But because of its tiny size, it does not pick up enough product for a single application and you need to dip in 2-3 times every time, which some may not like.

The color as the name suggests is a true coppery bronze shade, it looks quite dark and pigmented in the tube but comes of rather sheer like most lip glosses. It has very tiny sparse golden shimmers which just add to its charm. The shimmer is not at all over the top or large and chunky. The color will suit every skin tone extremely well; this is a perfect everyday lip gloss for me. As I told before it is not extremely pigmented and quite sheer, hence does not give opaque color payoff even when layered and will not cover pigmented lips. But because it is slightly darker color it will look great even on pigmented lips on its own as well, giving a polished look.It works equally well on top of a lip liner or a lipstick without going patchy.

I just love the texture of this lip gloss. It is very smooth, slightly creamy and medium thick, has some stickiness to it, and hence has amazing lasting power. You certainly do not need a lip balm underneath. Majority of the times lip glosses that are thin and runny and completely non sticky completely fade off within an hour of application on me and also result in a very streaky application due to runny texture. But not this one,it is not overly thick or sticky making it uncomfortable to wear.It gives extremely glossy and luscious look to lips filling in all the lip lines giving a very plump effect without accentuating them at all. I cannot ask for anything more! It has great lasting powder of 4 hours easily along with meals in between. Even after a full meal there was minimal fading and transferring, but the gloss was still intact. But I did notice one thing that after 3 hours the color completely faded, but the gloss was still intact and all I was left with was a layer of clear lip gloss, so you will need to touch up after that. There was no bleeding even when long for long hours with touch ups.

The only major con for me is the extremely strong soapy smell. I remember the first time when I had used this gloss I had to remove it immediately because of such strong fragrance. I do not have sensitive nose or anything and I can bear funny yet mild fragrances easily, but this one was just too strong. Next time I again dared to try it and I could feel it less than the first attempt, and now eventually after wearing it for 4-5 times I can barely notice it. I am not sure if this problem was there in the previous ones as well or they have changed any formulations. So the more you wear it and less you feel the fragrance, and now I am comfortable with it.

But for those who have sensitive noses, I would say be extremely careful with it. Keeping the fragrance thing apart, I feel this lip gloss is simply amazing for the price and certainly my favorite. And I am going to explore more of these.
