Faces Go Chic Lipstick – Iced Coffee Review
Hi all!
I am back with a review that’s actually not my cup of tea. I am not much into lipsticks. I use them with Indian wear that I wear very rarely. I am more into glosses, colored gels and tinted lip balms. For me, lipstick is an occasional makeup product, but whenever I wear one, I love it 😛 I have a wheatish complexion and hence mostly into nudes, browns, earthy colors when it comes to lipsticks. This is my first lipstick from the brand Faces – so far so good! Please read on further to know more about this lipstick.
Product Description:
Incredibly smooth, extra shine lip color. Infused with Vitamin E and jojoba oil, this high shimmer lip color brings glamour and nourishment together. Its amazing smooth texture ensures a full color application each time. Available in several glossy and lush shades, this lip color is a must for dazzling look.
Price:
Rs. 249 for 4 gm.
Shelf Life:
3 years.
Color:
This is a pure brown color with a hint of red. It acts as a subtle n*de color and would be the MLBB shade for most Indian skin tones.
My Experience with Faces Go Chic Lipstick – Iced Coffee:
Faces claims “get ready for rich, long lasting color in just one swipe. Easy to apply lipstick gives uniform lip coverage.” Let me come to the claims one by one as per my experience. The color does not show in one swipe, you have to swipe multiple times to build it up. If you don’t want that heavy look, one to two swipes would suffice. It is easy to apply and gives you that uniform coverage and I guess the semi-matte finish accounts for that. It may make your lips dry if you have not moisturized them properly. If you have chapped lips, please stay away from this. It stays matte if applied on dry and non-moisturized lips, but gives you a glossy finish if applied over a lip balm.
According to me, the best way to reap the maximum out of this lipstick is to layer your lips with a non-greasy, non-oily lotion first and then after a minute, apply two coats of lipstick and you are sorted. I have very dry lips which tend to chap very easily, but this helps me out and I don’t feel the need to apply any lip balm for at least 2-3 hours.
The color bids goodbye to your lips after 2-3 hours, so you need a fresh application in any case. The color payoff is just fine, nothing extraordinary.
Overall, a MLBB shade which would suit most Indian skin tones. It’s a great pick for office goers who just want a hint of color on their lips without looking over the top.
