My Experience withFaces Lip Pencil Gogo Pink:

Lip Liners are essential especially with creamy lipsticks as they tend to bleed a lot. And my today’s review is on one such product from Faces. I got this along with the lipsticks I reviewed earlier and some other stuff from their store.The packaging is simple it is a matte black wooden pencil with a small tip of the lip pencil color at base. The cap fits the pencil tightly making it travel friendly. The pencil is of medium length and hence storing it is not a problem and has to be sharpened regularly.
The particular shade “gogo pink” is a medium neutral pink with fine barely noticeable purple shimmers which give it a pearlescent finish on lips. I was slightly disappointed with this shade at first as at the store it looked completely matte, even in the swatches it looks the same but when on lips it has a different finish altogether. But because it is a lip pencil it works quite well beneath lipsticks and glosses without altering their finish.

The color is not too bold and very wearable; it will work with many pink lipsticks. It can also be used on its own if you are okay with the slight pearlescent finish and the color will suit wide variety of skin tones. They do have a lot of shades to choose from but majority of them were too darkfor my preference. It has good pigmentation if not the best when compared to other lip pencils like Nyx. In a single swipe you get decent color payoff, but those with pigmented lips may need to go over twice for optimal color deposit.

The texture is good; I feel it is just right on slightly moisturized lips it glides very smoothly and it not overly soft and creamy. There is not tugging in application, but if you have very dry lips them exfoliating beforehand and moisturizing them is must for better application. It settles a lot into fine lines on lips, but then it also makes an excellent base for lipsticks and prevents them from settling into lines. It does not feel drying on lips even when worn alone for long. I must say it makes as excellent base for lipsticks, as it keeps them in place and prevents any feathering or bleeding even with very creamy lipsticks and makes them last really long. On its own it last for 4-6 hours and also survived a full meal with minimal fading. Even after fading it leaves behind a pink stain which has to be removed with a makeupremover. Because it is not too soft it sharpens very easily with least product wastage.

• Stays well for 4-6 hours along with meals
• Leaves behind a stain after fading which some may like
• Makes an excellent base for lipsticks and completely prevents feathering and smudging

• Decent Pigmentation
• Sharpens very easily

Cons of Faces Lip Pencil Gogo Pink:

• Dry lips have to be well exfoliated prior to application
• This shade is not extremely pigmented
• Has minute purple shimmers which give a pearlescent finish

Do I recommendFaces Lip Pencil Gogo Pink?

Yes I do recommend but not this particular shade mainly due to the purple shimmers, but I will definitely check out other shades in future.
