Faces Lip Smoother Fruit Punch

Hi everyone,

Today, I am sharing a lip balm from Faces. Faces brand has recently opened up an own store in Express Avenue Chennai. I was really excited to try their stuffs and bought few of their new launches. I suffer from severe dry skin issues and have been collecting hand creams and lip balms for a while now. As this one was fruit flavored I bought it. Read on to know more.

Ingredients:

Bees wax, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Tocopheral Acetate, Glyceryl Mono Sterate, Glycerin, Soyabean oil, Almond oil, Sunflower oil, Color, Mixed Fruit fragrance.

Price:

INR 199 for 9 gm.

Packaging:

The Faces lip balms retail in a red case with the name Faces printed on the lip balm tub. I don’t prefer tub packaging for lip balms as they are messy and unhygienic but as I liked the sweet flavor, I don’t mind it.

My Take on Faces Lip Smoother Fruit Punch

The lip balm in the tub is a pretty bright red colour. When applied on the lips, it comes out very sheer and gives only a light tint of red colour to the lips. The smell of fruits is quite strong and stays on the lips for about 15 minutes. The smell is like the flavored candy and if you don’t like very sweet smell, you can skip this lip balm. The lip balm exfoliates and moisturizes lips really well.

The texture of the lip balm is very soft and smooth. It glides easily on the lips and instantly makes it soft. It is not too greasy or sticky. This lip balm does moisturize really well and will suit summers and winters. People with excessively dry skin might not find it satisfying. It stays on for an hour and then goes away. But my lips feel softer even after it fades away.

The amount of hydration provided by this lip balm is good and decent. But, considering the price, I will prefer my favorites the Maybelline baby lips or the Nivea ones. Definitely, these are more hydrating and buttery than this one. As I got bored and wanted to try a new one, I went for this one.

Pros of Faces Lip Smoother Fruit Punch

 Fruity flavor.
 Lightweight and non greasy.
 Hydrates and moisturizes well.
 It does not sting and it softens lips.
 Lasts on me for about 1- 1 and half hours and later leaves lips soft.
 Affordable.

Cons of Faces Lip Smoother Fruit Punch

 Hygiene is a big issue with tub based packaging.
 It will not work for severe dry and chapped lips.

Will I Repurchase/Do I Recommend Faces Lip Smoother Fruit Punch?

No, I will not repurchase this again. I will go back to my favorites. I recommend it to you only if you like the flavored lip balms. There were so many fruit flavors. Overall, I think it is a good decent lip balm, as I am comparing it with my favorites, I couldn’t give it much love.
