Faces Lip Smoother in Vanilla Delight

Hello Everyone!

Hope you all are doing well these days. Some time back I completed 100 posts on IMBB which I just realized. It is a big achievement in itself for me; I have definitely come a long and have learnt so much from all of you as well. It has been an amazing journey so far, I also got amazing opportunity to try wonderful products all thanks to Rati and the lovely IMBB team for taking so many efforts. So today’s review will be on a lip smoother from faces.

My Experience with Faces Lip Smoother in Vanilla Delight:

This is a part of the many new launches from faces; I got it some time back along with the Faces lipsticks I reviewed earlier. Apparently this is the only pot lip balm apart from the body shop and Vaselineof course that I have tried: P Coming back to the product, it comes in a small slightly bulky transparent plastic pot with a screw up lid. These lip smoothers are available in 6 flavors; I got the vanilla one, mainly because the fragrances of all the others were too strong and artificial for me. The packaging is completely travel friendly, but because of the pot packaging it is not very preferred to be used while travelling 😀

The lip balm inside is creamy colored and looks opaque but comes off completely clear. The consistency is very different, it is slightly thick and somewhat hard, but the moment it comes in contact with fingers or skins it kind of melts and becomes very smooth. It contains so many oils and does feel slightly oily but very hydrating. But I personally quite liked it, as you cannot go overboard with this one like applying a very thick layer. It has a beautiful and mild and sweet vanilla aroma. The texture once applied is very smooth on lips and completely non-sticky; it does not feel heavy or uncomfortable and imparts a slight sheen on lips without looking overly glossy or shiny. The ingredients list is quite good as it mainly contains all natural ingredients.

I personally feel it is a good lip balm to have for year round, as it is not moisturizing enough for dry winters nor will it heal chapped lips. It keeps my lips moisturized for three hours, and even after fading, it keeps them soft without making them dry and you do not immediately need to apply it gaian. The SA claimed it is great to be used as a base for lipsticks, which is true because it gives a very smooth application once applied. Although make sure to apply a thin layer, as it has a slightly slippery texture, so applying it generously will alter the lipstick application. In all it is a decent lip balm to have, it instantly smoothens dry lips and I like the mild vanilla fragrance.

Pros of Faces Lip Smoother in Vanilla Delight:

• Amazing mild vanilla fragrance
• Majority of ingredients are natural
• Non tinted and makes a good base for lipsticks
• Makes lips very smooth instantly on application
• Feels very lightweight and comfortable on lips
• Does not feel sticky or waxy in any manner
• Leaves no whitish cast behind
• Keeps lips moisturized for fairly long time

Cons of Faces Lip Smoother in Vanilla Delight:

• Unhygienic tub packaging.
• No SPF
• Not moisturizing enough to heal dry chapped lips during winters.

Do I recommend Faces Lip Smoother in Vanilla Delight?

In all it is a decent lip balm and I do recommend it to everyone, I personally like how it instantly makes lips smooth but the pot packaging is definitely a turn off.

  1. Congrats on 100 posts at IMBB *pompom*

And wow I’m definitely going to buy this. I love FACES products and clear lip balms is just what I like. I prefer non tinted ones like this.

Though for chapped lips, I found the nature’s co berry lip balm awesome.
Baby lips are also the best ones in market now.

  2. Congozzz on 100 posts dhara. Totally love reading your reviews. 🙂 This looks good but I also would just be buying the SPF lip balms now. Was feeling a bit bad during my vaccy that my lip balm dint have SPF. 😛 Good review and lovely lip swatch as always. 🙂

    1. *thankyou* so much Rati, coming that from you means a lot to me, u made my day *puchhi* and I agree it is not a good idea to pick up a lip balm without SPF any more, as there are other better options available as well 🙂
