Faces Mauve Over Ultra Moist Lipstick Review

Reviewing one final shade from the Ultra Moist range of Faces; Mauve Over. Read on to know more on this pretty neutral shade.

My Experience with Faces Mauve Over Ultra Moist Lipstick:

The lipstick comes in a shiny black case. The case is safely packed with a black color outer carton, you will find a color coded sticker with the shade name and number on the outer pack also, and I found the sticker really true to the lipstick color. The packaging looks good, but Faces really needs to bring a change to the monotonous packaging of its lipsticks.

The texture as the name suggests is moist and smooth. The lipstick glides on like dream without any tugging or pulling. Due to the moist texture of the lipstick, lip balm is not required. There are super fine shimmers in this shade just like Rusty Rose, but again that does not affect the creamy texture of the lipstick. On the contrary, the lips stay hydrated even after the color fades/vanishes.

Mauve Over is a pretty neutral shade. It is a nice mix of brown and mauve with lots of shimmer which adds to the beauty of the shade. Though am not a fan of shimmers, I like them in this shade as without the shimmers it would have been a boring flat shade, adding age to the face. The eye makeup can be played on with this shade owing to the neutral hue of the lip color.

The staying power of this shade is low compared to the Firetruck and Maroon Plus from the same range. It stayed on my lips for 3 hours maximum after which it starts to fade. Thankfully the shimmers do not travel all over the face, neither they stay back after the shade vanishes. I do not mind touching up the lip color after 3-4 hours as it is creamy and hydrating.

Overall it is a good pick if you are looking for a neutral lip color with some glam quotient to the shade. Can be easily worn to the college/office or to somewhere as simple as grocery or evening walk.
