Faces Metaliglow Eye Primer Review

Faces Metaliglow Eye Primer Review

Hello girls and ladies,

Today, I am going to talk about an eye shadow primer that I had purchased a few months back. Before IMBB came along in my life, I was a complete novice to the basics of make-up, my knowledge was only limited to kajal, liner and lipstick. I simply had no idea what concealer, primer and foundation were for and how eye shadows and blushes could transform the way you look. Hence, the search for a good primer began.  Since I have pigmented lids, tinted primers do not work much for me, I had tried a number of them at the store before I finally settled upon Faces Metaliglow Eye Primer.

Price:

Rs. 699 for 7 ml and is available in one single color.

Product Description:

European award-winning lightly textured lotion flowing with iridescent shimmer. A product with an inimitable dual performance. Due to its quick setting, non-smudging capabilities it is a necessity for all eye shadow wearers. Voted Top Eye Primer by FACES customers, this product extends, intensifies and holds eye shadow, allowing eyes to look runway perfect all day long! Prevents eye shadow from creasing.

Ingredients:

Eye Primer 2

My Experience with Faces Metaliglow Eye Primer:

This comes in a clear glass rectangular tube packaging as you can see in the pictures, one would easily mistake it for a lip gloss as most brands have a similar packing for glosses. The long black screw up lid has a wand with a doe-foot applicator at the end with the help of which the primer comes out. The primer is nude in color with millions of metallic particles embedded into it, thus the name metaliglow and when blended well, only a light metallic sheen is visible. It just merges with your skin tone and does not look out of place at all. The staying power is very good with 6-8 hours or more unless removed with a make-up remover, well I can’t say for more as that’s the most I prefer to wear make-up on my eyes else I start having a headache.

The doe foot applicator makes application on the lids very easy, but I prefer to apply in the form of dots and then blend using my fingers, that way it spreads evenly and blends well. All eye colors look more intense and bright and stay much longer without me having to worry about creasing or fading.

Positive Aspects of Faces Metaliglow Eye Primer:

  • Comes in an easy to carry rectangular tube packaging.
  • The transparent glass with combination of black packaging gives it an elegant look and also enables you to see the amount of product remaining.
  • The doe-foot applicator makes application easy and comes in truly handy when you do not want to use your fingers in case they might get messy.
  • Will be suitable for all skin types as its nude in color and leaves only a slight metallic sheen behind.
  • Can be used on its own for a natural look along with just eyeliner or a dash of kohl.

Negative Aspects of Faces Metaliglow Eye Primer:

  • Available in only one shade.
  • Has a very short shelf life.
  • Little expensive considering it is a drugstore brand.

I am definitely in love with this eye primer and will be re-purchasing again. Also, for those who are new to makeup and love experimenting with different eye shadows and looks, this is the perfect base for your eyes as it matches any skin tone.

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5, points deducted for price and shelf life.
