As I have mentioned before, recently, I picked up the shades “Red Fantasy” and “Not So Wine” from Faces Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon range. “Not So Wine” is a proper maroon wine shade with a dash of shimmer. If you love the feel of matte on your lips, read on 🙂

My Experience with Faces Not So Wine Ultime Pro Matte Lip Crayon:

When I swatched it at the beauty store, I did not realize that this shade has shimmer. I was all game for deep fall colors, so I immediately picked this one up, but when I wore it at home, I saw that the silver shimmer twinkles with light. I would say there is only a dash of shimmer in this shade. It is not a concentrated shimmer lip crayon.

The base is very maroon wine, in a smooth buttery matte texture, but it is not as matte as the “Red Fantasy.” I have to layer it twice to get even color plus I notice slight dryness with this. If you have very dry flaky lips, be wary. The color is very winter appropriate, it will stand out very well for most skin tones. I think this is an evening color. For me, this brightens my skin tone.

It would last you 6-8 hours, and fades away very minimally. Flaky lips will need to even out with a lip scrub. Apart from that dash of shimmer, there is nothing to dislike about this product. If you like maroons with a twinkle, go for this.
