Faces Stare #01 Ultime Pro Velvet Matte Lipstick Review

Matte lipsticks are my new-found love; I would partly thank the climate here in Chennai for that and the rest of the credit goes to the awesome range of matte lipsticks launched by the brands. This Ultime Pro Velvet Matte range has been a favorite since the time I had picked up two shades some time ago. I will review all the remaining shades; starting with #01 Stare.

My Experience with Faces Stare #01 Ultime Pro Velvet Matte Lipstick:

The lipstick comes in an outer paper carton with a color-coded sticker with the name and number mentioned on it as is #01 and Stare. The ingredients and other details are also mentioned on the paper carton. The lipstick tube is matte black plastic with a color-coded sticker with shade name and number. Unlike the previous range, the lipsticks in this range come in normal-sized lipstick packaging. The cap shuts with a click and hence is travel friendly.

Other than the color, the beautiful texture is one feature that you would notice on swiping it for the first time. There is absolutely no shine, yet it is creamy and smooth. Now that is something we all matte lovers look for while choosing a matte color, for comfortable wear, all throughout the day.

The pigmentation is buildable. Two swipes would be more than enough to cover pigmented lips. If you want a sheer coverage, go for a single swipe. There is no caking or peeling however when you swipe it on multiple times.

The shade is something that again scores big. Red, to begin with, has been a favorite of the lipstick lovers for a while now and this is one red which is more or less balanced. The cool or warm undertone cannot be defined, till you use a lip liner to bring in the cool/warm effect. This is one bright red, but again not neon, so you can sport it if you are A regular with reds.

This range has incredible staying power with minimal or no fading, even after full meals.  So, if you hate touching up makeup every now and then, make sure you do not miss this range from Faces.
