I have tried a lot many ranges from Faces, but this was one range that I totally missed out on! I never knew a lot about this range as it is pretty old, but I finally got one to try out the amazing formula that everyone raves about. So let’s jump onto the shade from this range called “Very berry”!

My Experience with Faces Ultime Pro Long Wear Matte Lipstick #10 Very Berry:

The Faces Ultime Pro Long Wear matte lipstick comes in a basic matte black packaging which is super long and sleek. Due to the sleek structure, it can be easily carried around in a clutch or a hand-bag. The lid closes with a click so no worry of the cap getting separated and the lipstick ruining the bag. And also the twisty thing works perfectly fine.

The shade “very berry” is not the typical berry shade that you would be expecting. Typical berries are a blend of mauve/purple and pink but this one is totally different. Initially it looks like a deep burgundy colour which actually looks vampy hence not all will be comfortable of wearing this. But the perfect way to wear this is blot it and go on. After blotting, it turns into deep plum wine shade which looks super sexy and elegant on the lips.

The finish is velvety which makes it look even better. I think the formula is really awesome at this price. The shade does compliment every skin-tone and the pigmentation is very much buildable according to the need. It certainly adds a dose of glamour to my lips and brightens up my skin-tone almost instantly. A perfect shade for fall! The formula is intensely pigmented and very creamy which glides o the lips like a dream. The texture helps me create a perfect line on my lips which make my lips even more defined and perfectly shaped. The formula turns matte in a few minutes and looks stunning. It does not give any dryness to my lips in-fact my lips feel moisturised.

The staying power is incredible as it stay for 8-9 hours on my lips with full meals, snacks and water sips. As and when I eat, some colour gets ripped off with the food from the centre portion of my lips. And after 5 hours or so, when a lot of colour comes off from the centre portion of the lips, the formula highlights the chapped portions o my lips which is very much noticeable. But I feel that this range is a total hit and I love it!

Pros of Faces Ultime Pro Long Wear Matte Lipstick #10 Very Berry:

• The packaging is excellent as the lid closes with a click; and the twisty thing at the bottom works well too.
• The shade “very berry” is a dark deep burgundy colour which transforms to a bold plum wine colour after a while.
• It is a completely matte formula which does not make the lips dry.
• It will suit all the skin-tones beautifully.
• It looks very elegant and the finish is super velvety which adds glamour to the lips.
• It does not transfer a lot and does not bleed too.
• It stays on my lips for 8-9 hours with snacks and meals.

Cons of Faces Ultime Pro Long Wear Matte Lipstick #10 Very Berry:

• It might highlight the dry patches after having snacks and meals.
• The colour might initially look very vampy which not all will like.
• It is not a usual berry colour.

Not this shade in particular but I would love to try the other shades from this range as the formula is dream come true. If you haven’t tried this range, then probably you are missing out on some of the best matte lipsticks available in the make-up world!
Conclusion: This range is an absolute hit and I am totally impressed with it!
