Highlighting is an “in” trend in the makeup world. I mostly use powder highlighters, but liquids look more convenient and attractive. Faces has recently launched this Ultime Pro Metaliglow range. I am a highlighting lover, and I love that glowy skin effect. I can skip my blush, but I never forget to apply a highlighter. Basically highlighting gives a naturally dewy and healthy skin. So, let’s start the review now.

My Experience with Faces Ultime Pro Metaliglow Topaz – 03:

Packaging:
Metaliglow comes in a black cardboard box with the details of the product. The actual highlighter is contained in a study plastic pump bottle with a black cap. The pump packaging is more convenient and easy to use. The pump nozzle gives the perfect amount of product. As it is a clear bottle, it is quite easy to identify the shade also. I totally love this lightweight bottle. It comes in a 15 ml size for Rs. 799. It seems quite expensive, but it is decently priced for a highlighter.

Shade:
It comes in 3 shades options for all skin tone. I have the shade Topaz-03. For me, the shade 02 is the best, but since I like a bit tanned look, I picked up 03. Topaz is the darkest shade in this range. It is a beautiful, bronze-y rose gold shade. It contains fine shimmer particles in it which provide an amazing sun kissed look. This shade will complement most medium to dark skin tones.

As I have olive skin tone, this highlighter looks perfect on me. When I had started using it, it looked little dark on me. But now, since I have got a little tanned, it looks perfect. I totally love this shade. It is the best shade for Indian summers. This shade is greatly pigmented and it just needs one drop to cover up my cheeks.

Texture:
Metaliglow has liquid gel based formula which feels light on skin. It is non-oily and non-sticky. The soft, gel-based illuminator glides easily, but it dries up so quickly, like almost immediately. It needs very fast blending, otherwise it looks patchy and feels sticky. If you have dry skin, you must use a deep moisturizer otherwise it will highlight your dry patches. I have oily skin and still it feels dry on me. If you can blend it quickly, it will look great on you. It can be used in various ways.

You can apply it directly on the highest points of your face or you can mix it with your foundation or body lotion for a perfect illuminating skin. I love using it in both the ways. With foundation, if mixed nicely, it gives a very dewy finish. It never feels oily or heavy on skin. The shimmer looks perfect on skin and overall the highlighter gives a natural illuminating effect. Layering doesn’t work well with this product. The formula is perfect for summer and it never looks overpowering at all. Pick a perfect shade from this range and you can use it for strobing too. This one gives a warm bronze glow to the skin.

Staying Power:
The glow stays on for really long on my oily skin. It stays on for around 6hrs perfectly. I usually sweat a lot, and this illuminator does not create a mess on my face; it doesn’t make me look unpolished. It is just perfect for parties. It doesn’t transfer and gets easily removed with a wipe.

Overall:
I love this shade and also love the glowing effect provided by this. It suits perfectly on my sensitive skin. It has never broken me out. According to its quality and performance, it is totally worth a buy. Only one concern:beginners will require practice to apply it perfectly.
