My Experience with Faces Ultime Pro Starry Matte Lip Crayon 02 Sinful:
I have picked a few shades from this range. I reckoned that this shade was not on the blog. So, here is the review of the same. Let’s begin with the packaging of the product. The lip crayon has a colour-coded body which helps in spotting the shade from makeup stash. The crayon has a deep maroonish body with a black base and a clear cap. The cap is a little loose and sometimes it comes off on its own. So, it is not very purse-friendly. It has the shade name written on it.
The crayon bears the brand’s tagline, which is engraved on it in silver fonts. The crayon is lightweight and handy. The crayon is a regular sharpenable one. It comes with a free sharpener. I love the crayons with twist-up mechanism more. Overall, the packaging is nice, classy and easy to carry around.
“Sinful” is glittery oxblood shade. I may define it as a deep wine red shade. It is definitely a very bold shade and screams attention. So, it is not for weak hearted people. I love how it amplifies the overall look. This is a shade which cannot be pulled off very easily. Even I think a lot before carrying this shade. It will look gorgeous on almost all Indian skin tones. The lipstick has large glitters in it but they looks subtle and do not look gaudy. I have never come across any glittery lipstick which looks as graceful as this one. This is a perfect bridal shade. I wish this shade did not come with shimmers as they feel a little gritty. It is free from any fragrance or taste.
The lip crayon is insanely pigmented. One swipe delivers deep colour to the lips. It instantly makes my lips pop. It gives semi-opaque coverage in one swipe. Two-three swipes impart perfect opaque finish to the lips. It hides the pigmentation of the lips pretty well. The texture of the lip crayon is feathery light & buttery smooth. It glides like a dream without any tugging or pulling. The finish is super matte. So, for the matte lovers, this range has some really pretty shades to choose from.
It feels so comfortable on the lips. It does cling to the dry patches of the lips which gives it an ugly appearance. So, prepping the lips is mandatory. It does settles into the fine lines of the lips after meals. It gets a little patchy after meals, which is a con of this lip crayon. Shimmers become highly noticeable after full meals. The lip crayon has a transferring formula. The crayon feels a little drying on the lips. So, applying a lip balm underneath is a must to keep the lips moist & nourished.
The lasting power of the lip crayon is amazing. It stays for 7-8 hours on my lips with continuous drinking. The colour loses its intensity with time but it still looks so gorgeous. It does survive meals but the colour fades away making the shimmers more noticeable, which looks a little awful. Taking off the lip crayon is easy. All you need is a good makeup remover. Overall, the colour is surely very pretty. The quality of the lip crayon is good but the shimmers are a big turn off.
