My Experience with Faces Weightless Matte Finish Lipstick Flamboyant Plum:
There are a total of 15 shades in this range and the shade range has something to offer to every skin tone. Faces Weightless Matte Finish Lipstick Bombshell Red comes housed in a basic black body with a matte finish on its cover. It shuts with a rounded black cap. The shade name is mentioned via a colour-coordinated sticker which makes the shade identification easier. The pointed tip of the lipstick bullet helps to line and fill the lips properly, but a lip brush would definitely help in filling the lips better. The cap shuts in place properly with an audible click. The packaging is very simple and nothing fancy. Overall, the packaging the packaging. Now, coming to the price, which is the main attraction of this range. Mostly all of us love to hoard matte lipsticks, as these lipsticks just retail for INR 299 each, they can fit into anyone’s budget easily.
Shade: Faces Weightless Matte Finish Lipstick Flamboyant Plum is an irresistible plum lipstick which is one of the must-have shades from this range. It will suit all skin tones. Since this is a dark shade, it is more apt for parties and weddings. The lipstick will good with both Indian and western outfits. This lipstick has a beautiful fragrance which I absolutely love. Since the fragrance is mild, it would not bother people with sensitive olfactory sense.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation of this lipstick is bang-on. I need just a single swipe to get true color payoff on my lips. For pigmented lips, you might need more swipes to achieve opaque coverage. It will hide lip pigmentation well.
Texture: The texture of this lipstick is also amazing. It sits on the lips comfortably and has a lightweight feel. It also glides on my lips but with slight pulling and tugging. The texture is a bit dry and not as creamy as other lipsticks, but it is comfortable on the lips for a long time. It doesn’t make my lips flaky. Faces Weightless Matte Finish Lipstick Flamboyant Plum instantly gives you matte finish on the lips and you don’t have to wait for it to settle into a matte finish. It has a weightless formula as the name suggests and I love it.
It does not get patchy and gives an even application when you start to layer it. It does not settle on the fine lines of your lips. However, this lipstick is not completely transferproof. It transfers slightly but that can be ignored as the colour intensity does not vary much due to this. Also, it never creases or bleeds, so it is very easy to wear it for long hours.
In order to get healthy-looking lips, don’t forget to exfoliate your lips and moisturise them with a lip balm. Once your lips are prepped well, you are pretty sorted to wear this lipstick for the entire day. Overall, the formulation is great and lures you to hoard more lipsticks from this range.
Staying Power: It stays for about 4-5 hours on my lips after which it starts to fade from the centre of my lips. This lipstick can survive having normal drinks or snacks but having oily food will fade away the colour intensity. When this fades away, it leaves behind a light stain on my lips which I love. For dark colours, it leaves behind a light stain on my lips which I love. However, for light colours, my lips don’t look stained after it fades away. On reapplication does not make my lips patchy, so I am okay with it.
Removal of this lipstick is also very easy. It gets removed easily using the Garnier Micellar Water or any other makeup remover.
