How To Do Facial at Home: Do It Yourself

Hey Girls,

It has been quite a long time since I have been away, missed all the fun at IMBB.  Today’s article is a quick tutorial on doing facial at home. There are times when your face needs a cleanup badly but you are too lazy to go to the parlor or don’t want to be hard on your pocket or if it’s an emergency situation when you can’t seem to reach a parlor, check this quick facial with the products you use daily.

All you need:

How+To+Do+Facial+At+Home+Do+It+Yourself

1. For an astringent or cleanser, mix rose water and lemon juice or if you have an astringent, you can use that.

2. Any mild scrub that you use daily (you can also use natural products like rice powder or sugar granules half dissolved in lemon juice).

3. A mild and gentle face wash which suits your skin.

4. A nourishing skin cream like almond cream or any other cream that suits your skin or you could go natural by using fruit pulp, milk cream or anything which suits your skin.

5.  A bowl of steaming hot water to steam your face.

6.  A blackhead remover tool.

7.  A face pack which suits your skin the best.  I am using a  pack of orange peel powder + besan + lemon juice + rose water.

8.  Some cotton or a napkin.

Step-By-Step Tutorial:

Now, this process is nothing new, just inspired by what the lady at the parlor does, but just that this can be done in the comfort of your home.

1. Pour a few drops of the astringent on cotton and clean your face and neck thoroughly.

2

2. Take a generous amount of scrub and scrub your face with your finger tips in circular motions for 15 minutes, be gentle while scrubbing.  Wipe off with cotton or just wash it off, trust me it works.

3. Take a mild face wash and clean your face for 10 minutes in a circular motion, wash it off.

3

4. Now, massage your face with a nourishing cream like almond cream or any natural product like carrot pulp or tomato pulp or milk cream for 10 minutes in a circular motion.

5. Now, steam your face using very hot water in a bowl, be careful NOT to get too close to the heat.

4

6. This is a very important step.  Make sure you have the blackhead remover and cotton ready.  After steaming, immediately, hold the areas of your face where you have black/white heads with cotton and using the remover, pop out all the heads, be gentle while doing this.

Home Facial

7. Wipe your face clean after removing all the black/white heads.

8. Once done, apply your favorite face pack, let it dry and wash off gently, do not scrub while washing.

5

9. If you are dry skinned, you might want to apply a moisturizer after the process.

10. Avoid using soap for at least a few hours.

That’s it, you are done with a free facial sitting in the comfort of your home.

Hope you guys would try this out and let me know how it works for you.

Shagufta, you’ve reminded me of my teeny days… I used to follow so many home made skin care regimes..courtesy my mother 😀 but I’m such a lazy person now.. give me a dabba of readymade face back..and I use vlcc facial kits if I want to do a facial myself.. otherwise I like to go to a salon spa and get pampered.. 🙂
