I was back stage with MAC makeup artists. I have got a free interesting things such as a makeup video, photographs from the Reynu Tondon’s show and some trend report form Autumn Winter 2010 and Spring summer 2011. Another good news is that MAC and Mickey Contractor are coming up with a makeup collection , which would be launched in the beginning of next year. Also that collection would be launched in India first. Mickey mentioned that he is using a lot of products from his collection on Bollywood actresses already. 🙂 So following are the 4 main WInter 2010 Trends, as told by Vimi Joshi Senior MAC makeup artist Middle East & India.

Red velvet : Red has many personalities this season. It is taking a the classic iconic red lip and giving it a bionic edge. Then :

Eyes
- Brows: Coquette Eye Shadow applied with Brush 266 and groomed with Clear Brow Set
- Crease: Air Force Cream Colour Base with Copperplate Eye Shadow

- Mascara: Mascara X in Black X
Lip
- Pencil: Cherry Pencil
- Contour: Media Lipstick
- Highlight: Russian Red Lipstick

It’s all about warm textures of the skin. Think toffee caramel, chocolate.It’s basically about skin texture looking luxurious, expensive and hyper glorious.
Tip : Use MAC Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation , powder only the center of your face and apply MAC Coppertone blush on the high points of cheeks.
Satin Eyes: This trend is about liner, drama and squared smokey eyes.

- Brows: Taupe Impeccable Brow Pencil

- Highlight: Modum Lipstick finished with Clear Lipglass
Voile Veil
Washes of colour. Colours like lavender and pastels that have been melted on the face. The trend is softer, subdued and anti glamour. There are no harsh lines in this trend.You can see where the makeup starts but you cannot see where it ends.
Tip : Apply a wash of plum lip colour with finger tips on your lips and bronze cream colour base on your eyes.

media toward the corners and russian towards the center. Media is a permanent shade.
cashmink is the best, it will be great if we can have a photo or video tutorial of the techniques and a list of all products used on her ? including concealers. though we can’t afford all MAC products, we ll look for affordable dupes 😛 😛 😛
