Skin type: oily, sensitive and acne-prone

Hello everyone,

Hope you all are doing well. I’ve been an ardent fan of IMBB for almost four years now. It’s a complete Wikipedia for makeup and beauty lovers, like me. Coming to today’s review, I am reviewing one of my holy grail skincare products; something which finally suits my weird type skin, and it is called Farsali Volcanic Elixir. If you’re YouTuber or a media junkie, like me, you would have definitely heard about it. It’s a facial oil by a brand created and owned by Farah Dhukai and her husband Sal Ali. It’s basically a facial oil, suitable for all skin types, especially acne prone skin. Read on to know how it fared.

Farsali Volcanic Elixir Review

Price: AED 245 for 30 ml
Product Description:
This precious oil is extracted from the nut kernels of the Tamanu fruit, which flourishes in the south pacific islands of Polynesia, due to the volcanic atmosphere. Volcanoes have a very good effect to the surrounding soil. The Volcanic ash contains minerals that are beneficial to plants and provide nutrients to the soil. Due to this very reason, the Tamanu oil originating from Polynesia contain the most nutritional value.
The properties in oil can help regenerate skin tissue. For this reason, the Volcanic Elixir can condition broken skin, and repair sun and acne damaged skin. It also has anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antibiotic, and antioxidant properties, making it ideal for acne sufferers. The thing that sets this oil apart from others is a certain lipid called calophyllolide, which is not found in any other oil, and is a very strong anti-inflammatory.
The Volcanic Elixir aids in regenerating new healthy skin. It can be used on acne and acne scars, dry and scaly skin, stretch marks, etc. The oil does have a strong earthy scent, but only a few drops are needed, and is perfect as a night time regimen.

Farsali Volcanic Elixir Claims

Ingredients:
Calophyllum Inophyllum (Tamanu) Oil
Packaging:
It comes in a black matte bottle with its brand name written in golden fonts and is dispensed using a pipette style dispenser. It’s a completely mess-free packaging and dispenses the right amount of product. The oil itself is yellow in colour and has a thick consistency with a nutty fragrance, what you’d expect from your typical oil.

My Experience with Farsali Volcanic Elixir:

It is a moisturising oil that is supposed to be used on a daily basis in place of a regular moisturising cream. As per the usage instructions given on their website, one is supposed to use it at night and allow it to work wonders on the skin throughout the night.

This oil has a nutty smell which disappears as soon as you apply the oil on your face. I use it regularly at night after cleansing and toning my face. Three drops are enough for entire face and neck, so it’s going to last for months.

Farsali Volcanic Elixir

I have been using this oil for the last one month and it has worked wonders on my skin. My skin feels hydrated and glowing with regular usage. The visibility of my acne scars has reduced by almost 50 percent due to continuous usage. Also, there is lesser occurrence of zits on my skin.

This oil has become a staple in my skincare regimen and I would advise anyone struggling with scars to try it out. After trying a zillion of skincare products, right from high-end ones to drugstore, this is one product that has suited my skin so well.

It suits my skin type amazingly and doesn’t clog my pores. I am glad I have chosen it after many trials. Apart from this, I have used it underneath my foundation too. It didn’t make my face look greasy and it didn’t affect the wear time of my foundation either.

  1. I love love love Farah Dhukai! I used to binge watch her videos earlier (not watched any of late). Didn’t know she has a product line now. Glad to see something works so well for your skin! It is an amazing feeling when you find an HG or nearly-HG product for your skin or hair..
