Hello Ladies,
Thanks for appreciating my 1st blog. Now I am back with my collection of Cocktail rings. I am a big… big…big fan of Cocktail Rings. It goes well with all kinds of cloths. My Vintage collection of rings really goes well with Indian attire. However diamonds, colored gems like Ruby, Sapphire, Pearl or Designer rings and Swarovski crystal rings all compliment my western attires.
A cocktail ring could be a Diamond Solitaire or a Funky Peacock Gem ring. They all look fabulous when up with our attire. The Cocktail Rings have an interesting history. The trend started from America way back in 1920’s. It was the indicator of social status. In fact the Western World started believing that bigger the stone of the Cocktail Ring, richer the person is…:) .
There was a time when alcohol was banned, so the culture of underground cocktail parties started, where the ladies dressed up all chic and flaunted their huge diamond or gem rings. .
The Cocktail Ring is still hugely popular these days as well. There are no rules when designing one!
General Rings: Designer spirals are pretty in nowadays, as you can find in the very first image on my article.
Vintage style: Old style rings, in fact old style jewellery looks great at times with Indian dresses. I generally love Kundan & uncut Dimond style of jewellery. Its gives my look a royal touch when I wear an Indian attire. I have a couple of old fashion jewellery gifted by my grandmother. I just love it. 🙂
Gemstone: Gem stones are an evergreen fashion. Team it up with cocktail dresses or evening gowns. Its really classy. I love colours. So here’s a lists of Gemstone names with colour categories.
Red – Ruby, Zircon, Garnet.
Pink – Sapphire, Tanzanite, Tapaz, Zircon.
Green – Emerald, Chrome, Diopside, Chrome Tourmaline.
Yellow/Gold – Sapphire, Citrine.
Orange – Zircon, Fire Opal, Imperial, Topaz, Moonstone.
White – Pearl.
Pattern Rings: Various kinds of pattern rings also look great like peacock, snakes, flowers, bugs etc. It looks trendy with a pair of ripped jeans. I have noticed many Asian girls flaunting it at various occasions.
So get your own collection of Cocktail Rings and trust me, it will never go un-noticed.
Hope you liked my article. Let me know if you liked it or not.. 🙂
