My Favorite Makeup & Beauty Products This November

This and that in November – more THIS than that 😉

:rose: I hope you Ladies are doin´fine 🙂 Here some beauty news from my busy November. I could have made several posts of this one by telling you every single thing about every item regarding. But to wrap up my actually fast running time and situation this is just a quick overview on my beauty “activities” last month. It got cold and snowy early this year in Germany, supposed to be the earliest snow since 1970 or so and the coldest November for the last 100 years;  and so I canceled one shopping spree – was not only too cold I also had no time for it. But some new products arrived at my place via internet shopping.

OPI launched the Burlesque Collection and I ordered some of the polishes; was looking forward this release since I saw some previews on the net.My abs. fave from this collection is Let Me Entertain You, a deep Fuchsia with tiny, shimmering flakes which give the texture just a hint of a metalic finish.  Lovely colour, have a look:

I bought a few more colours but Let Me Entertain you is the one I really would like to recommend to you because of the outstanding, brilliant texture. If you like to try some more of the collection, you maybe would like to try the Glimmer and Shimmer sets, they have a free body shimmer included.  🙂

Set 2: Show It and Glow It and Let Me Entertain You
Set 3: Sparkle-icious and Teas-y Does It

Then ALVA, one of my favorite german Brands featuring all natural cosmetics, launched an amazing Edition called Green Equinox Collection.

When it comes to pigments and mineral cosmetics there are only a few brands I use because most mineral cosmetics are only some kind of very dry, mixed pigments and that´s all about. To get a good, long-staying color brilliance and smoothy texture you have to add more to such a product. ALVA managed to create an outstanding product – smoothy application, high pigmented, brilliant and longstaying, plus: Vegan and bio-certificated. The quality is amazing and I am utterly in love with these six multi-purpose stacks. Multi-purpose describes the diverse applications of a single product. You can use this colors for lips, cheeks, nails, as eyeshadow or eyeliner – it´s up to you. Since I already wrote a guest review for a german beauty blog I asked a friend if she would like to review it for IMBB – but she doesn´t konw if she will have time for that the next couple of weeks because she is jetting around the globe (work) till the end of December. So this here is just a basical information about the Edition.

The six stacks in detail:

Spring On My Mind

• Sparkling Harmony  –  Warm Sand with golden shimmer (Shimmer)
• Bunrished Olive –  Warm Olive with golden and green Reflects (Shimmer)

Kaleidoscope

Colours:
• Royal Flush –  Silver (Metal)
• Atlantis –  Deep forest Green with petrol undertones (Matte)
• Pink Attitude –  Magenta with violet Pearl (Satin)
• Remember Me –  Nightblue with silver Pearl (Satin)

Ladies, this product does not look very special in the jars but believe me, it´s a real breathcatcher when it comes to brilliance, handling, colourstaying and ingredients. If you are somewhere where you can get your hands on it – you can buy it blind. Never had something like that in natural cosmetics,  the product is comparable  with the good MAC pigments (since MAC has some losers among their pigments) but with much better ingredients than MAC. The Jars are quite big and contain 2,25 grams product each, so one stack delivers nine grams of pigments – this will last for a long, long time, even if you are going to do frankenpolish or just share the pigments with your friends.

Ranking: :-* :-* :-* :-*  +

Last but not least I would like to show you my November favorites in decorative cosmetics, means: Products I loved to use this November. There are some holy grails I use all of the time and there are products/colours I prefer using at winter time, cold weather, winter light etc.   So here they are:

faves2010november
faves2010november

• MAC Beautypowder in Soft Dew, LE – nice for blushing and sculpting (light skin tones)
• ALVA Baked Powder in Light – this product is on the best way to get a holy grail for me; lovely texture and finish, better than the MAC MSF naturals in my oppinion
• MAC e/s My Dark Magic from the Venomous Villiains LE
• MAC Dazzleglass Creme Gone Romancin´ LE, nice casual colour with lovely, lightcatching dazzles
• MAC Lipglass Pink Manish LE from the Manish Aurora Edition;  love it
• China Glaze First Class Ticket and p2 Daring Purple (Meet Me at 12:30 Edition) – both beautiful, deep Purples
• Bvlgari Omnia – one of my favorit scents
• ALVA Stack Kaleidoscope, not on the photo, see pic and impressions above 🙂

What were your favorite products this November?   Except your “Holy Grails“: Do your faves change? Are there special products you prefer at wintertime?

    1. There are several polish brands claiming to have polishes glowing in the dark.
I guess I tried them all 😛 and here what came out:

Then only brands not using the three BigBads (bad ingredients), the PPPs, and having polishes really glowing in the dark are OPI and China Glaze :-))
      Do you like the polish?

          1. yupppppppppp Tatjana!! I love making rangolis, and it is always a greatttttttttttt joy for me to make it , whenever I go home during Diwali time. Diwali is a hindu festival, usually celebrated in October/November :-). We light candles and “diyas”, decorate our houses, make rangoli, wear new pretty dresses, apply even prettier makeup!! :beauty: :beauty: he he…, exchange gifts, light crackers, eat yummmyyyyyyyy sweets and meet our friends and relatives!! 😀 😀 😀 ..It is like a Christmas for Hindus – quite significant!
