My Favourite Summer Accessory – Flower Crowns
By Savi from Bruised Passports
Hi guys,
Today I’m writing from Ireland. The countryside of Northern Ireland is one of my favourite parts of UK. Vid and I have been there thrice in the past four years, but I can’t wait to go back. There is something quite magical about it, almost as if the air is peppered with fairy-dust. Take, for instance, the Glenariff Forest Park, where most of these photos were shot. It is a sprawling rural retreat with woodlands, rivers, and gorges. We spent a couple of leisurely summer days picnicking at the Glenariff Park, and as we walked through the woods I kept feeling a gnome would pop out of somewhere, or I’d discover pixies having a tea-party deep in the woodlands. I don’t know whether that is because of the legends related to the Glens of Antrim or the fact that devouring Enid Blyton as a child warped my brain forever.
Onto the outfits, I threw on simple dresses because I knew we would be walking a lot. Since we were were going to spend our days enconsced in the rural Irish countryside, all my edgy clothes and accessories stayed firmly stationed at home. As a result, a lot of pastels and florals made their way into my suitcase. I had to add flower crowns- I’m a firm believer in the fact that there is no better way to salute the summer than a garden party on one’s head Do flowers, leaves, and butterflies feature in your summer wardrobe too?
