Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Styling Creme Review

Hello all,

I love to try new hair styling products all the time. And looking at all the hair products which sit on my vanity at any point of time, I always get these weird looks from my husband which say “How many products does a woman need?” 😛 Of course, that does not stop me from trying out new products and one such product is the Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Styling Crème which I am reviewing today. Read on to find out more about this product.

My Experience with Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Styling Creme:

Packaging:  The product comes in a transparent squeezable tube packaging. It has a flip top cap which shuts tightly and there is no danger of any product leakage. The packaging is simple yet effective.
Details at the back

Texture/Fragrance/Results:  The product has the consistency of a cream. It is slightly on the thicker side, but is still easy to spread through the hair. The cream feels quite oily to touch and this is due to the presence of olive oil in the ingredients; however, fairly lightweight when applied to the hair.

I typically apply a little dollop of the cream to towel-dried damp hair and then allow my hair to air dry or use a hair dryer. I have an oily scalp and normal to dry thick hair. I need to use only a little quantity of the cream or else it ends up making my hair slightly oily. I have to caution those with fine and thin hair to keep this in mind before using the product.

On the positive side, the cream makes my hair quite soft and manageable. It is also successful in controlling frizz to some extent; however, I continue to see some flyaways.

But the best part of the cream is that it adds a beautiful sheen to my hair. Fekkai is not wrong in branding this as a “Brilliant Glossing” cream because it does succeed in adding some lovely radiance to your hair.

The cream has a mild olive oil smell, but unfortunately, it does not smell fresh to me and has a slight rancid odor to it. I am not particularly fond of this smell, but it is not a deal breaker either. The smell does linger in your hair for almost a day and hence those who are sensitive to smell should take note.

Pros of Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Styling Creme:

  • Easy to spread through the hair.
  • Adds a lovely shine to the hair.
  • Conditions the hair well.
  • Controls frizz to some extent.
  • A little quantity goes a long way.

Cons of Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Styling Creme:

  • Will not suit oily or thin hair.
  • Not all will like the olive oil smell.
  • Expensive as compared to drugstore brands.

IMBB Rating:

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Styling Creme?
This is an okay product and not really a must have. Hence, I will not recommend.  I will not repurchase it either.
