My Experience with Fekkai Pre-Soleil Hair Mist Invisible Sun Filter:
Packaging: This product comes in a sleek yet sturdy orange-colored plastic bottle. It has a dispenser pump mechanism which has to be used to spray the product on to your hair like a mist. The dispenser does a decent job at that. The cap shuts tight and there is no risk of any spillage. The bottle is quite handy and travel friendly. This product also comes in a bigger 5 fl oz bottle.
Texture/Performance/Fragrance: This product comes in a dual-phase formula, so you need to shake the bottle well to mix the two phases before applying it to your hair. It can be sprayed on both dry as well as damp hair. I typically apply it on dry hair before stepping out in the sun. This product gets washed away due to swimming and hence it is recommended that you reapply after swimming.
This hair mist contains sunflower seed oil, but it is quite lightweight and feels only slightly oily on the hair. It helps to smoothen small flyaways and can control frizz to some extent. Other than that, the effects of this hair mist can only be gauged over time. I sported colored hair this summer and I feel that this mist definitely helped my color from fading away in the sun. Also, it prevents the hair from getting dry or parched due to sun rays.
My hair tends to get oily naturally between shampoos and I noticed that this mist makes my hair more oily than it normally becomes between washes. So, I cannot use this product on a daily basis, but use it only on days when I know that I will be spending a lot of time in the sun (read vacation time).
The oil mist has a very mild citrus fragrance. The fragrance doesn’t stay for long in the hair and fades away within an hour or so.
Pros of Fekkai Pre-Soleil Hair Mist Invisible Sun Filter:
- Contains UV filters to help protect hair from sun damage.
- Protects hair color from fading.
- Prevents hair from becoming dry due to sun rays.
- Lightweight texture.
- Controls flyaways.
- Mild citrus fragrance.
Cons of Fekkai Pre-Soleil Hair Mist Invisible Sun Filter:
- Tends to make hair oilier between washes and hence cannot be used on a daily basis.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Fekkai Pre-Soleil Hair Mist Invisible Sun Filter?
This product does protect the hair against sun damage, but at the same time, hair feels greasier over time. If you have dry hair, then you can surely try out this product. It makes my hair oilier between washes and I cannot use it on a daily basis. Hence I will not repurchase.
