Thick, beautiful and healthy tresses are every girl’s dream, and I am no exception. But, unfortunately I have dry, damaged, limp and thin hair. My oily scalp requires more shampooing, more often, which aggravated the damage. Fekkai PrX Reparatives Intensive Fortifying Masque is an Allure Beauty Awards winner for 2014 as the best hair mask and was quite raved about on the web. So, I decided to give it a try. Let’s see how this fared for me.

My Take on Fekkai PrX Reparatives Intensive Fortifying Masque:
Starting with the packaging, Fekkai PrX Reparatives Intensive Fortifying Masque comes in a thick, translucent, aqua colored plastic jar with silver metal lid that has ‘Fekkai’ engraved on it. The jar closes tight and despite being heavy, you can carry it around.
Coming to the product inside, the white mask is thick in consistency, but not too densely thick. Just like lightly melted butter, it has a soft texture. This consistency and texture make it easy to spread in hair strands with fingers. Unlike OGX masks, little quantity is enough to cover all the hair strands. Lightly scented with vanilla and with buttery feel, it gives you a luxurious experience in the shower. The label says that it is a weekly mask, to be applied and kept under warm, moist towel for 5 minutes. It rinses easily and doesn’t leave hair greasy or heavy feel.
It reveals fresh hair, just like you get after every shampoo. Now, talking about the performance, despite the fact that it is so popular online, I am not too impressed. It leaves hair a bit silky and brings in some shine and softness, but the effect isn’t too evident for severely damaged hair. For the price tag, I had expected some more instant results. In the longer run, it overall improves the health of hair visibly.
There isn’t much reduction in split ends, but hair breakage is controlled at large by this hair masque as it makes hair easily manageable. On the last note, it controls hair fall to small extent.

• No too effective for hair fall
• Doesn’t add shine like a salon treatment
• Not effective on spilt ends
• Not effective for severely damaged hair

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Fekkai PrX Reparatives Intensive Fortifying Masque?
Fekkai PrX Reparatives Intensive Fortifying Masque calls for patience to show results. This isn’t a product that delivers instant shine and softness to hair like OGX masks. For $32, I expected a bit more, so I am not going to repurchase it. However, I would recommend it as it definitely improves the health of hair, if used religiously.
