The wait is over as Fenty Beauty by Rihanna has finally launched its first collection! The beauty world is going gaga over the starstruck products released by the Goddess Rihanna. Seeing all the buzz that is surrounding this line, I was tempted to pick something from this range ASAP. Thanks to IMBB Sponsorship Scheme, I picked up the only lip product they have launched. It is their ‘Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer’. So without further rambling, let’s see whether this product lived up to its hype or not.

My Experience with Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer:
Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty offers a huge variety of products, which includes a spectacular foundation that comes in a spectrum of 40 shades; the brand has attempted to solve a persistent dilemma of shade range by paying heavy attention to darker skin tones. This is the first brand which has given such a wide shade variety of shades in their first launch.
In addition to the highly inclusive range of foundation shades, Fenty Beauty also has launched matte and shimmer ‘MatchStixs’, designed for contouring, concealing, and highlighting. They have also come up with powder highlighters called ‘Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter’, which also includes the most hyped golden highlighter called ‘Trophy Wife’.
The product design of this brand is just like a dream with a colour scheme of baby pink and white. Most of their products are octagonal and contain magnets along their walls, so when connected they create a sort of honeycomb formation, ensuring that everything sticks together, literally. The design is just spell-bounding and so elegant.
This collection offers just one lip product so far. It is the Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer. This gloss has a unique hexagonal shape transparent sturdy tube with a rose gold cap. The brand name is also embossed in gold on the tube. There is also a beautiful white and black cardboard box which contains all the product details.
When you open the gloss, BAM! There’s a massive doe-foot applicator. Seriously, it is one of the biggest wands that I have ever seen. It’s big and it’s very useful. The applicator is so huge that just one swipe across my lower lip and I’m freaking done, which is kind of awesome. So, I would say full marks for the packaging and the applicator.
The colour of this gloss has been described as a universally flattering rose gold and the gloss bomb is designed to look good on everyone. I will call it a rosy nude shade with striking shimmer and pearly shine. The gloss smells like vanilla ice-cream, which is quite delicious.
Since the gloss is more on the nude side it doesn’t show any particular color on my pigmented lips, but it gives such an immense shine that my lips become quite juicy and shiny. I feel like a princess when I wear this gloss. This product has medium pigmentation and opacity and you can see lip pigmentation when worn alone. But this product works equally well even on top of a lip product and can give any lipstick the next level shine.
Now coming to the formula, I usually don’t like glosses because they tend to be too sticky on the lips but, on the contrary, this gloss is very moisturizing and feels very comfortable without being sticky or tacky at all. The consistency of the product is smooth, lightweight and plush. It applies well on the lips. The shimmer in the gloss looks mesmerising and gives a plumping effect to the lips which is truly phenomenal.
I feel like a model whenever I wear this gloss. I love to wear this gloss on top of a lipstick to take any makeup look to the next level. Since this is a gloss, the wear time is only two hours, but that’s not an issue since we can easily reapply this product. Overall, I LOVE THIS gloss. It gives bang on shine on the lips and makes you look like a diva in all possible ways.
