The right makeup tools can make or break one’s look. I have been a long and loyal Beauty Blender person for the last couple of years (but sometimes the whole wetting the Beauty Blender and dabbing can get on nerves when I just want something quick and easy). I do use foundation brushes now and then, my go-to kind of brush being a flat top kabuki brush. When I saw this foundation brush by Fenty Beauty, I was intrigued by its unique shape and look and decided to pick to it up.
A medium-density liquid foundation brush designed to give seamless, air-touched, full coverage. Meet the makeup brush designed to make skin look natural. The Full-Bodied Foundation brush is the ultimate tool for applying Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation. It’s made to give you the quick coverage of a flat paddle brush plus the seamless blending of an airbrush. In other words: Fast coverage with an air-touched finish. Its unique paw shape gives it just the right density, with more than 140,000 ultra-fine synthetic bristles for a softer touch and better blending. After all, we all want more foundation on our face, and not in the brush.
My Experience with Fenty Beauty Full-Bodied Foundation Brush:
First of all, how pretty is the blush baby pink color! It screams girly, but not like a 6-year-old girly girl, but “I am a sophisticated woman but also kinda of a girly girl.” The overall look of the brush with its pointed-end handle, silver mirror finish ferrule and pink ore gradient bristles are aesthetically pleasing.
I cannot sing enough good praises about this brush. It’s amazing! I have tried this with liquids, creams even stick foundations, and every single time, it buffs my foundation to an airbrush finish. No streak marks, no patchiness and a finish as close to what my Beauty Blender would give me. I never felt the need to follow up with my Beauty Blender to make it look seamless but you could for a more blended look.
This brush is the perfect size to cover my entire face in a few strokes but the wide sleek shape of it gets into every nook and cranny around my nose and in between the eyebrows with ease. It helps delivers fuller coverage as opposed to using a sponge. It’s also a perfect size to apply primer, buff in cream contour and blush – it’s so multipurpose.
Since the bristles are synthetic and unbelievably soft, I don’t find them absorbing too much of my foundation but it does require me to use more foundation than I usually do since the foundation does get wedges into around the bristles. I usually dot the foundation all over my face, then proceed to blend with this brush. It is the perfect density to buff but not so dense that the bristles are not flexible.
I have not found this brush to shed at all and it help up quite well even after a couple of washings.
Overall, I absolutely love this brush, it is my go to after my Beauty Blender of course. I highly highly recommend it.
Pros of Fenty Beauty Full-Bodied Foundation Brush:
- Blends foundation to an air-brush finish.
- No streaky or patchy finish.
- Super soft.
- Pretty baby pink color.
- Synthetic bristles.
- Easy to clean and no shedding.
- Can be used to blend cream blush and contour too.
Cons of Fenty Beauty Full-Bodied Foundation Brush:
- I feel like I need to wash it often to keep it clean from all the foundation that bristles seems to hold after use. I use my Cinema Secrets Brush Cleaner on it after every use and deep it every other week.
