After Rati Di’s recommendation (Rati Beauty), I have finally got my hands on Fenty Beauty Match Stix Shimmer Sticks. I have picked three shades – Yacht Life, Blonde, and Star Struck. In this post, I am reviewing Fenty Beauty Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick Blonde.

My Experience with Fenty Beauty Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick Starstruck:

Let’s begin with the packaging of the product. The shimmer stick comes in a beautiful, hexagonal-shaped tube. This tube is magnetized from all sides and so they easily stick to each other. The cap shuts very tightly making the product travel friendly. The twist-up mechanism works pretty smoothly, but a small amount of the product stays out even by fully retracting back the bullet; so I have to be extra careful while putting the cap back on to avoid damaging the matchstix. Overall, the packaging is amazing, easy to store and very travel friendly.

Fenty Beauty Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick Starstruck is a metallic beige kind of shade loaded with lots of silver shimmer. It is slightly silvery and has cool undertones, which does not turn out nice on my skin tone. Though, I like using it as a body highlighter, it just does not suit my face. It has a strong metallic sheen which makes this shade slightly over the top for Indian skin tones. I find this shade too blingy for me. This shade is probably suitable for very fair and light skin tones. I personally feel that “Starstruck” is not meant for most Indian skin tones. Starstruck is opaque in terms of pigmentation. It is an amazing highlighter shade if it matches your skin tone.

I apply 2-3 coats of Fenty Beauty Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick Starstruck to make the proper color pop out better. You may easily build up the intensity according to your choice. This is good for all skin types but still if you have very dry skin, I would suggest prepping the skin well to avoid any patches or flakiness. It suits my sensitive skin well and does not break me out. The lasting power is somewhere around 7-8 hours on my skin, which is impressive.
