First Aid Beauty Body Moisturiser Review

First Aid Beauty Body Moisturiser Review

Hi all,

I am really happy today – want to know why? Sephora is coming to Australia this week – and they are planning to keep the prices similar to USA.  As you would have known already, we Australians pay much more for makeup and skin care as everything is more pricey here.  But recently, we have had an Influx of major retailers namely VS, Topshop and M and Uniqlo.  Sephora is opening next Friday and even though I’ll be in Sydney, I’m planning to only visit next time. This is because of the predicted insane amount of crowd who will be queuing up to get in – not a very good place for a pregnant lady to be in 😛 I might check it out in January.

First Aid Beauty Body Moisturiser

First Aid Beauty is a brand available at Sephora and I have purchased a few products from this brand while travelling. This range is known to be fragrance free, paraben free, allergy-tested and safe for sensitive skin. Another key feature of the brand is their FAB Antioxidant Booster that comprises of liquorice root, feverfew and white tea ingredients which combats free radicals. This is a great benefit as free radicals can contribute to serious illnesses such as heart attacks, strokes and cancers. The design of the products are simple and the soft colour scheme definitely complements the idea of being gentle on the skin. I am a sucker for beautiful fragrances, but recently, I have felt it might be overpowering sometimes if shower gel and lotion are both perfumed. Non-fragranced products sometimes helps us to layer perfumes/body mists accordingly.

Product Description and Claims:

FAB Body Moisturizer is the perfect everyday moisturizer. It hydrates and helps provide barrier protection for all skin types including sensitive, dry or scaly skin. Fragrance-free formula does not compete with your favourite scent or irritate sensitive skin. Infused with FAB Antioxidant Booster to combat free radicals.

My Experience with First Aid Beauty Body Moisturiser:

This moisturizer comes in a sturdy white bottle with simple packaging. The moisturiser is lotion-like in consistency and as promised “fragrance free.” I use this after showering to lock in moisture.  This spreads easily and doesn’t leave a greasy residue. Because it’s fragrance free, it doesn’t clash with perfume or body mists.

The lotion appears to come out thick, but once it’s on your skin, it melts and feels incredibly light. It feels smooth and silky and quite lightweight. I do not have sensitive skin but this product is good for all skin types except very dry skin. This moisturiser works well in terms of moisturising, leaves my skin soft and smooth. After using regularly for 2 weeks, this product has actually improved moisture level in my skin and I have really started to like this product, especially during pregnancy.  I am going to continue using this product as well as other products from the same brand as they are free from harsh chemicals known as allergens, including parabens, phthalates, alcohol, fragrances, and artificial dyes.

Pros of First Aid Beauty Body Moisturiser:

  • This product is free from allergens, including parabens, phthalates, alcohol, fragrances and artificial dyes.
  • My skin feels moisturised and supple.
  • Easy to layer perfumes and body mists as this product is fragrance free.
  • Packaging is study and simple.
  • Even though this product is fragrance free, it feels luxurious to use.
  • Available at Sephora and many other stores.

Cons of First Aid Beauty Body Moisturiser:

  • Quite expensive and we might be able to find cheaper products which are also free from harsh chemicals and irritants.

IMBB Rating:

4/5

I have purchased some other products from this brand and would like to incorporate a few products from this brand during my pregnancy.
