Hi everyone,

I am back with another review for you all and this time it’s on the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance pads. A while ago, I bought a First Aid Beauty travel set that consisted of travel-sized versions of the first aid moisturiser, cleanser and the pads; this gave me a chance to try all three products without splurging on all of them separately. I’m glad I bought this set because after trying the products, I found that I wasn’t really fond of the moisturiser or the cleanser; however, the facial radiance pads has a different story. To know what my thoughts are about this product, please keep on reading!

First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads

Product Description:
FAB Facial Radiance® Pads contain just the right amount of lactic and glycolic acids to make them safe and effective for daily use. Cucumber and Indian gooseberry tone the skin, while lemon peel and licorice root leave the skin bright and glowing. FAB’s facial radiance pads are free of parabens, harsh chemicals and colorants.

My Thoughts on First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads:

I have never tried a product like this before and after seeing many rave reviews about it, I decided to give it a go. These facial radiance pads are cotton pads that are soaked in exfoliating acids; whilst the word “acid” can put many people off, these pads are actually very gentle on the skin and are the most effective way of exfoliating the skin.

These pads contain lactic and glycolic acids; the lactic acid is good for resurfacing skin and also works well on dry skin whilst the glycolic acid is great for resurfacing and stimulating collagen production. On the other hand, several physical exfoliators such as facial scrubs aren’t as effective and scrubbing the skin can actually irritate it.

My skin is sensitive, so I was a little worried about using these pads, but I didn’t have any issue with them. They did sting my skin sometimes, but it wasn’t too painful. The pads have a slightly bumpy texture to them and this also helps with exfoliating the skin, however, they are very soft and gentle, not harsh at all.

Most acid toners come in a bottle which you need to pour onto a cotton pad yourself, but I love how First Aid have reduced the work load for us and pre-soaked the pads in the toner already! It makes it so easy to use and absolutely fuss free.

As for the effects on my skin, I definitely noticed that it left my skin feeling softer and the texture of my skin improved too. As well as this, whenever I had any painful spots, I rubbed the pad onto the spot and I found that the next morning, the size of my spot had reduced.

I didn’t really notice any effect on my acne scars, but that’s probably because I haven’t used them enough and I only had a travel-sized version, which consisted of 15 pads.

First Aid Beauty recommends that we use these pads twice a day, but I only use them when my skin is especially “spotty” and I only use it at night time in that case.

If you decide to use these pads in the morning, it is important to wear sunscreen when you go out as lactic and glycolic acids are alpha hydroxy acids (AHA) and these make your skin more sensitive to sunlight.

Pros of First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads:

  • Easy to use.
  • Good for sensitive skin.
  • Helps improve skin texture.
  • Reduces spots.
  • Stings very mildly.
  • Can buy different sizes.
  • Gentle on the skin.

Cons of First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads:

  • Quite expensive.

Would I Repurchase First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads?
Yes.

IMBB Rating:
4/5

I really love this product as you can tell and I really recommend you all to try it if you can! This is also a great product to try if you are just beginning to use exfoliating acids. I was a little worried about using them but these are so gentle that I had nothing to worry about. There are many different exfoliating acid toners in the market, which have a combination of different acids and are of different strengths. These facial radiance pads are of pretty low strength, which is why they are great for beginners, but there are also other acid toners such as p50 and Pixi glow tonic, which I heard are much stronger.

I hope you all enjoyed my review and I hope to be back soon with another one!
